“troop deployment “does not contribute in any way to solving the immigration problem,” and is inconsistent with US-Mexico talks aimed at “building a modern, prosperous and safe border,” the statement read.”

I don’t see you doing anything to solve the immigration problem.

Except make it easier and more regular for them to enter the United States.

The comments on yahoo that support Gov Perry are getting thousands of ‘thumbs up’ to a couple dozen ‘thumbs down’!
I think the Demonrats are in trouble in November!

I don't — there's too many with an (R) next to their name.

Agreed. We should have just invaded Mexico and wiped out the drug cartels and instituted a new govt there. It would have been a lot more successful and half the cost.

.....land OWNERS, instead of just having land grants from the government, which could be seized at anytime by the government.

Yeah, I remember a time when that same description applied to every citizen of these United States. Then it turned out the elected powers that be, LIED to us and our land really can "be seized at anytime by the government." Well DO tell!

Ah, good old Kelo. [/sarc]

The frustrating thing is it would be so very, very easy to get the USSC to reverse the ruling. In fact it's a way that would get it done so fast it'd make your head spin: seize the personal property of the Justices, using the exact same justifications as in Kelo. (And then just watch how quickly its reversed.)

The indefinite detainment is likewise easily solvable: detain the supreme court justices, giving them access to lawbooks and writing accoutrements via a PFC.
