With more than two years remaining until the 2016 presidential election, likely Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton is faring worse than ever in potential matchups against Republican hopefuls.
While the GOP has a number of possible candidates vying for attention, many consider it a foregone conclusion that Clinton will be the frontrunner among Democrats. In previous polls, she has enjoyed a healthy lead over any challenger from the other side of the aisle.
According to CBS, however, those leads are quickly evaporating.
Since February, for example, Clintons lead over New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in a head-to-head matchup has plummeted from a whopping 21 percent to just seven percent. The damaging results were reported by a McClatchy-Marist poll released this week.

I believe the title is misleading. There is nothing that is going to dissuade Hillary from running. Winning is a totally whole other issue. She has proven herself to be relentless in seeking the job, but merely having a core group of ardent supporters wasn't enough in 2008 and won't be in 2016. She's only had one election in which she ran and won and that was against a lighter than light lightweight, Jim Lazio. Running in 2008 she failed to be any sort of political steamroller she needed to be to achieve victory. She seemed weak, her support when she needed it most had her flailing about in the finish to the Convention and Obama had to help retire her huge money problem she otherwise couldn't have managed without him. She's a giant marquee name but don't believe she has the political gravitas to be president.

I’d prefer Hillary to be the nominee, but I think that Faux Indian woman has a good shot at it, and she’ll be a bit tougher to beat.

Hillary is a terrible campaigner. The more she speaks to people, the less they like her. I don’t think she will win the nomination if anyone else opposes her, which someone will. Then again, maybe if she cries...

Nothing, except to a constituency that is liberal, left wing and the same dumb Americans who saw Obama as their savior.

Hillary screwed up when she took the SoS job...She should have remained a senator where her incompetence could have been hidden and she could have been made to look like a statesman by running a committee or two...With her out on the international stage, she was incapable of hiding her incompetence and loathsomeness...

I love the way the MSM puts her up against everyone but two people, Ted Cruz and Saracuda.
Would love to see those numbers.

Who is the Faux Indian woman (Warren?), and do you think we would have been better or worse off with Hillary instead of Obama?
To: lbryce
I don't think Hillary will run in 2016. She can barely walk today.
If all the leading candidates take each other out, 2016 could get interesting.
