The Republican governor is accused of abusing his official powers by publicly promising to veto $7.5 million for the state public integrity unit at the Travis County District Attorney's office. He was indicted by an Austin grand jury Friday.

Looks like you got there before I did. Let's put Delay and KBH on the team. Lehmberg'll be shopping for a steel chastity belt.
The MSM is focusing on the indictment with little mention of the district attorney who refused to resign even though she blew a .239 after she was arrested for dui.
I like Perry too. He makes the Leftards crazy.
That’s always a plus.
Um....................
Just posted to my 950 friends on Facebook. :)
Corrupt politicians regardless of Party need to be sent to Leavenworth for 20 years minimum. I hate corrupt politicians. Unfortunately some liberals seem more tolerant of them just so they can gain partisan advantage. Nonetheless corrupt pols need to be expelled with major criminal sentencing.
These Politicians will sell out the USA to others if it gets them reelected. That needs to be ended yesterday.
How can a Governor be indicted for using his veto?
It’s one thing for Zero to use Executive Powers to do something, but when a Conservative governor uses the same powers in his own state, he is indicted. How does that work?
I’m sure if I read the entire thread, I would find the answers. but THIS is my gut reaction. Zero will try to stop anyone who thwarts his war on America.
Here's a gif image too. ;-)
I don't think you have much to worry about. ;-)
This may be a fraudulent indictment. But Perry in 2003 and again in 2011 had a chance to change the law so that the attorney general of TX has jurisdiction over statewide elected officials, instead of the DA in Travis County. He did not, and he reaps the whirlwind. I know it would have been hard to get state Senate approval because of the 2/3 rule there.
those of us in Austin need to tie EVERY Dem to Rosemary Lehmberg,,every Dem is a drunk, EVERY DEM thinks they are above the law and spits on police (see Cynthia McKinney’s action in DC),,,
Instead of defending Perry (which I think the law will take care of),,we need to pretend we are Dems and go after Lehmberg and her cohorts, specifically...ASAP! The drunk you tubes and videos need to be kept front and center as a representative of the Dem party in Texas.
We need to tie ALL Austin Dems to Lehmberg. That’s the crux of my prior message.
A veto can be bought just as are votes.
Until the public demands that every elected politician, public official and public servant disclose every dime of net worth they have coming into office, along with every dime accumulated going out on an annual basis, and with an accompanying explanation for increases, coupled with a mandatory penalty of 20 years in Leavenworth if claims are fraudulent, we’re stuck with rampant corruption.
USA politics have become as corrupt as Mexico because they are never held accountable. I’d hold them accountable regardless of Party.
Ray Donovan also asked where he could go to get back his reputation. Was Reagan sympathetic to Donovan’s plight?
No, one does not have to step down when indicted in TX, and state officials cannot be recalled, but local ones may with a city charter allowing recalls.
Move it to Brownwood, and nobody will come. The TX “field of dreams” is forever in Austin.
I understand that.
Yesssssss?
