Darren Wilson was just one of 53 officers in a small-town police department until his encounter with a unarmed 18-year-old last Saturday on a street in Ferguson, Missouri
....
Jackson, before speaking to reporters, told CNN's Don Lemon that the officer was "devastated" by what had happened.
...
The documents said four to six shots were fired.

Are you blaming the police for this incident or the guy that robbed the store? I just want to be clear.
The cop is white, not that it matters.
Big Mike and friends were shoplifting at QT, then walked home.
The cop was on his way to the apartment complex because of a call of ‘shots fired’.
He ‘may’ have gotten a BOLO for Big Mike right as this incident occurred.
I don’t think Big Mike was going to take the gun to shoot the officer. I think he may have reached for it, after he slugged the officer, to keep the officer from shooting him, and because he thought he could escape then. Big Mike wasn’t very smart.
I told everyone about this last night, but no one believed me. It is nice to have the media and Freepers finally catching up.
They will be sorting this all out on the radio today — so we will see.
The governor just said that the focus is still on how Michael Brown died.
Shooting someone in the back 35 feet from my door....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why do you keep repeating this lame MSM baloney in reply after reply? Its been proven a lie.
Here’s something else you may not know.... George Zimmerman was innocent in the shooting of Trayvon Martin.
Try and keep up, mm-kay?
Right. So agents of the state are exempt from laws that apply to the rest of us 'plebes'. Gotcha.
While we would be charged with murder for something similar, anyone with a badge is exempt from the same standards that govern the rest of us.
Cops have a license to kill whenever they feel threatened.
Terrific. Explains why so many pets are shot by cops these days too.
FR is infested with Michael Brown/Trayvon Martin apologists. You are wasting your time trying to use logic/facts with them.
There is enough blame to go around.
The police stopped shooting robbery suspects, black or white, claiming that as justification for their shoot, over 40 years ago.
Citizens aren’t allowed to do it even if the perp is running out of your house with a TV after assaulting you them.
So, I'd say that it's a lie...and it was the only thing he could think of saying.
Any clues why the kid ran?? After being shot. I'm guessing...but I'll bet that it was that first shot that "became" fatal from his own blood rushing as he tried to run.
It is still questionable that the officer knew Big Mike by sight, or knew that Mike was involved in the QT shoplifting/robbery/assault.
If so, it would have had to have happened during the incident, likely when the officer who had passed the ‘teens’ hit his brakes and backed up.
That is when Big Mike ‘inadvertently’ bumped the door closed as the officer was trying to jump out of the car.
Picture seems to be of a ST. Louis police officer, who was not the shooter. We will have to wait for good info.
His buddy witness said they were both running....The witness hid behind a car and said “Go Bro” as his buddy passed.
That Brown was a thug gangbanger and a robber is not something I am disputing at all. I never was.
My issue is noting that if that had that been any of us who shot Brown,- we would be arrested and charged with manslaughter at minimum or murder.
4-6 shots at an unarmed perp some distance from your door?
I’m noting the discrepancy in the application of lawful use of deadly force between an agent of the state and a citizen.
I do not think it is the correct Darren Wilson.
ST LOUIS POLICE and FERGUSON POLICE are two different agencies.
Put another way, his last words were an oxymoron.
I believe none of Tray's background was able to be used at George's trial.
Get this picture around. It's Tray Part II.
Who said anything about shooting MB because he was a robbery suspect? MB was shot because his failure to follow orders led to a physical altercation that turned lethal. It really is pretty simple, DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD and the situation will not escalate. Simply shut up and do as directed, especially if you are a suspect in a felony (ie robbery).
Not in Texas if it is night. At night the law assumes that you can not tell if the bad guy is armed and thus deadly force is warranted. It assumes that the bad guy could turn around and shoot you.
From the kid’s bud...he was shot before he started running. His friend said there was blood gushing through his shirt. I’m betting there’s only one bullet hole...that’s why crump wants another autopsy.
Yes, we all know there are abuses of the ‘law’ by police officers. And just about every other human being on the planet. It’s sad, but the world is filled with corrupt people.
Now, let’s go back to the issue of your claim. The one about distance being a factor.
Let’s say you pull out a toy gun and aim it at the President, and you are 35 feet away from the nearest Secret Service Agent (who are citizens, btw, subject to the same laws as you, correct?).
Do you think they will shoot you, and do you think they will be found legally correct in shooting you ?
