The fifth night of demonstrations in support of gunned down Ferguson, Missouri teen Michael Brown saw scores of protesters marching through the streets of New York in a vigil that culminated in Times Square Thursday night.
Tensions flared as some protestors attempted to shove their way through a police barricade set up in their path toward the beating heart of the city.
Police held their own and tempers soon calmed, but as night gripped New York, the already congested Times Square ground to a halt as thousands flowed into the streets to demand an end to police brutality and militarization and justice for 18-year-old Brown.

I’m sure the Times Sq. protest is grassroots.. Impromptu.. No big organizer of this event, no no no.. /s Just like the night OBL was killed and all those young kids with American flags celebrated in Times Sq.. Like they give a chit about OBL or what happens in Missouri. Both of these events are staged by Dem organizers with upcoming elections in mind.
I don’t think this is Soro’s style. This is right up the Commie’s playbook. International A.N.S.W.E.R. would be much more the likely source of this type of action.
Hey if they are rioting against the militarization of the police that may not be such a bad idea.

I’m torn about this whole protest/rioting thing. I for one am up to HERE with the militarization of the cops. (We’ve certainly been talking a lot about “jackbooted thugs” here on FR the last two or three years, and it may well be that this Michael Brown thing is yet another example of that — though we really don’t know yet.) OTOH this rioting and stealing TVs etc. is simply a big excuse for a party — a thug-infested party — and does no one any good.
I’d like to see a Conservative-led movement against excessive police militarization, but I don’t know what that would look like, or maybe if there’s an organization that’s already working on it. Thoughts, anyone?
I would participate in a rally against the militarization of local cops. I hope this does spread. But not be about Brown.
This may well lead to martial law that Obama wants. And he’ll say it will be too dangerous to hold elections. Then the question becomes “Will law abiding citizens start protesting?”
As for the cops, Obama has his 200,000 man army.

Is he white? If not and if he’s black, then what?
It’s probably a safe bet, if the cop was black, male or female, they would have broadcasted that to all points.

I can see why BS would gravitate there.
Heck, if she was ever in the water, some one prolly would mistake her for one of the whales that people look for from the cliff at point dume.
If this remains peaceful, why is everyone complaining?

Back in the late 90’s IIRC their was a incident in CT where a cop shot a black teenage boy for riding or driving in a stolen car early in the morning. He had a fake gun on him, the cop saw it ordered it dropped and him to put his hands up. He didn’t. He was shot and later died.
Of course the mother and relatives insisted it was police brutality. Turns out it wasn’t and he learned the hard way pointing fake gun at a cop at night is a bad idea. Didn’t change the community’s mind, they still hated and distrusted the police.
Until the leaders in the black community stand up and say, “too bad, the evidence shows the police did their job correctly, you committed a crime, you nave have to deal with the consequences.” nothing will change.

The unstated message is next time shoot the white kid. None of this would happen if the cops had only followed the PC guidance. Holder's Just Us department would never even look at it if it was a black on white shooting.
I think the Democrat Party needs to take this issue over to emotionalize its base voters before November and I suspect that’s what they are doing through their operatives at this point.
The political operators are trying to get people riled up to vote D.
More violence would cause a backlash in November against the Democrats.
