The Guardian's Moscow correspondent, Shaun Walker, and The Telegraph's Roland Oliphant tweeted today that a column of armored personnel carriers (ACPs) and other Russian military vehicles have crossed over the Ukrainian border.
Vladimir Putin's government is sending a convoy of unmarked white trucks to Ukraine, and military vehicles started traveling alongside a supposed Russian aid convoy earlier on Thursday.
Most of the fleet of more than 262 vehicles, including about 200 trucks carrying aid, stopped 15 miles from the border of Ukraine's rebel-held eastern region of Luhansk.
If these reports are correct, a separate military convoy has apparently continued into Ukraine.

So RolandOliphant and I just saw a column of APCs and vehicles with official Russian military plates cross border into Ukraine.
Note the "With Official Russian Plates" part. It was around 20 APC's and support vehicles, per Oliphant, and not "invasion force size.
IMO, Putin intends to push the Aid Convoy through to Lugansk sometime after dawn, WITH ESCORT, and these are the recon element.
And so it begins! Time for a round of golf!

Obama already set the stage for that, when he tried to become the Air Force for ISIS in Syria, then jumped in to an already unstable Ukraine to “Get back” at Putin for stopping him in Syria.
The road to Lugansk is likely under fire near Lugansk airport.
Kiev claimed earlier to have taken a town along the road, cutting access, while the rebels claimed a few hours ago to have retaken it.
The wimp Obama will wring his handfs and do nothing. Ron Paul and his ferret-faced son will be gleeful that America has done nothing.

I don’t think people on here think Putin is wonderful. It’s just that he seems to be the only person in the world who will stand up to America’s current real enemy.
Russia may be about to finish WW2, and get rid of the Nazis still standing.

This is likely the first time anything has crossed with OFFICIAL Russian Military plates, though.
These are apparently regular Russian forces, though a small unit.
As I said, it is likely the recon element for the escort. IMO, this will kick off in earnest just after dawn.
Kind of them to not use that camera-taking feature to show us that they are.
We have had several of these stories over the past few months, and none of them have proven to be true.
