A large police SWAT team showed up to a peaceful demonstration in Ferguson, Missouri and the scene is getting increasingly tense, reports Huffington Post's Ryan J. Reilly, who is currently on the ground.
Soon after the team of more than 70 officers came on the scene, they told protesters they needed to leave the area and that "this [was] not open for discussion," Reilly tweeted. MSNBC reporter Trymain Lee tweeted that police told the crowd, "Go home, return to your vehicles. The protesters responded, "Mike can't go home!"
"Your right to assembly is not being denied," the police said later over a loudspeaker.

Two reporters were detained not arrested and were just released w/o paperwork.
That tells you these were not spontaneous protests by grieving community members at the death of someone they cared about.
We don’t have to cheer for either side. We can ask for justice and peace.

Ryan Reilly (HuffPo reporter) says officer slammed his head against the glass purposefully and then apologized sarcastically.

I'm not for either side in this mess and if the killing started I would
find it difficult to be upset over either side. Both are wrong in this mess.
Its easy to care less that the rioters and looters and getting squelched with MRAP’s and cops in riot gear that even Marines would kill for. But I gotta remember...
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
