Arizona State University football player Edward "Chip" Sarafin has come out as gay, according to Compete Magazine.
In the magazine's August issue, the offensive linebacker said he told his teammates last spring.
"It was really personal to me, and it benefited my peace of mind greatly," he said.
Serafin told Compete, he told his teammates mostly for himself and because he wanted them to hear it from him instead of the college rumor mill.

The question is how is the average fan going to react or will they even care?
Over the last 50 to 60 years Liberals have chipped away at the foundations that make up this country. They want to make the USA as Secular and Statist as possible and drive God and Religion that give is the very foundations of Morality and Ethics into caves and return us to a New Dark Age. Ergo you have the Gay agenda , same sex marriage, etc. pushed to be accepted and seem normal.

When I attended ASU, the “gay” club used to have a “wear-jeans-to-support-gays” day. Everyone already wore jeans.
It was breaking news on our ABC affiliate. I’d rather not know, unless I was wanting to “date” him.

It was that or throttle him. We’d be eating in a restaurant and he’d make a point of letting the waitress know that *he* was the *gay* one at the table. That he was more sensitive and than we, the knuckle draggers sitting with him. Just annoying as all get out.
With the in-my-face feminists, they focus on a woman’s body part. If a man told a lady that all she was, is determined by her body part, there would be heck to pay for the guy. I just don’t get why certain things can’t be private and must be “celebrated”?

Bigtime college and NFL programs make HUGE money.
And the tv ratings dwarf pretty much everything else. In an era where most tv shows are dvr'd and commercials skipped, live sports is king of the commercial hill.
So economics says it will be around a long time.
