Slidell police: Woman checks in to hospital pretending to be her dead sister

A Slidell woman allegedly was trying to avoid paying her hospital bill by using her dead sister's name, birth date, and Social Security number when she checked in to a local hospital last week. At the time, police said she was wearing the deceased woman's memorial shirt.

I saw a guy get beat up by police one time because they accused him of lying when asked to identify himself. It seems that his brother had previously been arrested and used his name at booking.

Having just voted as her dead sister, cashed her sister's child support check, and renewed the monthly benefits on her dead sister's SNAP card... she figured she may as well go get her sister's herpes checked out.

I have personal knowledge of 2 cases in which someone was continuing to receive the deceased SS payments. Yes, I reported both, and I think corrections were made, but one can’t be positive.
