Lt. Boyd said Williams was found in his bedroom “clothed, in a seated position, unresponsive with a belt secured around his neck.”
There were also several cuts on his left wrist and a pocket knife with a dried red substance was found in the vicinity, he stated.
The Academy-Award winner was 63.
“The work of the coroner’s office is not complete at this time,” Lt. Boyd stressed. He said a final cause of death would be released in several weeks after toxicology tests are completed.
“The forensic examination conducted by Dr. Joseph Cohen did not [indicate]…that Mr. Williams had been in a struggle prior to him being diseased,” he added.

NO, it is more likely he didn’t commit suicide, and if you had watched the police report you may have realized that. The facts do not support it in my opinion.
Who closes their pocket knife and puts it on the table in the middle of a suicide, and then hangs themselves in a chair with the belt in the side of the door? Anyone no longer breathing would struggle and the belt would have pulled out. The side of the door and not over the top? NO way.
Sleeping in a separate bedroom from his wife and she supposedly leaves in morning without checking on him, then doesn’t come home until he is discovered by an assistant. The last time she saw him was night before, just wonder what the discussion was all about.
AIDS...really, some FReepers just hate for the sake of hating, that’s what’s really sad. I have seen as much hate on here lately, as the Palestinians against Israel. So Sad.

If you look at the last picture of him, he looked pretty emaciated.
If I didn’t know any better, I would have guessed he either had the Big C, or a bigtime Liver problem.
Gee that took a lot of guts. I bet his loved ones are feeling a lot of pride right now.
Way too many people are excusing away what happened as if he had no choice. He had a choice and he choose this fate. He went 60 years without managing to kill himself. Obviously, it could be done.
A total and complete waste. Thousands of people would have given up years of their life to have his assets and opportunities.

It sounds a little weird to me too. Although I have heard of people hanging themselves while seated. I hope they did a tox screen on him. He seemed like a pretty solid guy always, I don’t think a woman could easily over power him, unless he was under the influence of something.

More likely is that someone dictated into their iPhone, and the speech-to-text messed up.

The article said he had a disease, that was just a guess being that it is hollyweird.
Let’s hope the cops aren’t lazy on this one. Maybe we will learn more from the autopsy as well and for anything in his system.
