I enjoyed his recent sitcom The Crazy Ones about an ad agency that he owned. It allowed him to show off his theatrical comedy and did not feature much political spin.
And he did a lot of fun to watch movies. I am sad that there will be no more of them.
It makes me think of him in What Dreams May Come, where he died in a car accident and his wife died by suicide.
RIP.
Condolences to his family.

Whenever Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed,
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
‘Good-morning,’ and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich - yes, richer than a king -
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head.
He grew up as a military brat. Because he moved around so much he became the “class clown.” That’s where he developed his unique style.
For a liberal, he was pretty nice to the military. During one USO show he made some cruel jokes about George W. Bush. The crowd started to “boo” and he took a step back and said “Whoa... Sorry guys. Okay, I get it. Don’t talk bad about the boss man.” That got a lot of laughs from the crowd.
I’m sorry to hear his demons got the best of him. I pray he cried out to the Lord before it was too late.
I have this on my classroom wall. Among many other quotes I inspire my students.
I suffer from BP1 and PTSD. It is very easy to stand on the sideline and call people who commit suicide selfish. However when you suffer it isnt a normal sadness that goes away or something that pills or therapy or a visit to the church can easily fix. It takes you over, over rides any normal process, your mind can run through a thousand thoughts in a second or get stuck on one thought so bad that it takes your life.
I think the best thing he ever did was “The Fisher King.” His was a haunting performance.
Suicide just seals your ticket to hell quicker.
.
A friend of mine had Bi-Polar, committed suicide by jumping to her death!
“Bicentennial Man” was one of the most boring movies ever made
While in the military, I’ve always said if captured by Al Qada, I would save the last bullet for myself. It is not fear that made me vow this, but rather the satisfaction of not letting them parade me around as a prisoner.
Islam delenda est.
I just said in a private text I wouldn’t be surprised if he had bipolar. Well, he did. No one with bipolar lives to old age, it seems. My SIL only made it into her 50s.
RIP to an indefatigable talent. Always impressive. The wooly guy accomplished much in his life. It should have been a longer one.

That and Patch Adams, and Jumanji.
Politics aside, Williams was one of the best comedic actors of his generation, May he rest in peace. Suicide or not, very sad.
He made me laugh, and that’s good enough for me.
Sad the conditions under which these impoverished Marxists have to live.
It must be the 1%’s fault.
.
They are more afraid of facing life than of the terrible act of suicide.
We have poor treatment for this type of illness. What we do is as much harm as nothing. Chemical poisons, push for self reliance, abandonment of spiritual aid — all formulas for the worst outcome.
A comic genius has fallen, may he rest in the arms of heaven.
To this day, this is still my favorite comedy bit.
