Bakers quote of Crocker, who served as President George W. Bushs Ambassador to Iraq and President Obamas Ambassador to Afghanistan, is worth reading in its entirety:
This is about Americas national security, said Ryan Crocker, who was ambassador to Iraq under Mr. Bush and to Afghanistan under Mr. Obama. We dont understand real evil, organized evil, very well. This is evil incarnate. People like Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the ISIS leader, have been in a fight for a decade. They are messianic in their vision, and they are not going to stop.
It is hard to imagine how far ISIS will have spread its evil by the time January 2017 brings a new resolve to the White House. Hopefully the seriousness of this situation adds to the repudiation of the president and his party of go-along yes men and women at the polls in November, and a rebuilding of the Department of Defense can begin in earnest in January 2015.
It didnt have to be this way. Ws generals and their troops won the war in Iraq. President Obama booted away the peace and the intricate coalition that held it in place when he abruptly pulled a residual American force from Iraq in 2011. This is a sequel to what happened in Vietnam in 1975. This time there are no boat people because there is no ocean and there are no boats. Just slaughter. And this time the enemy isnt going to stop with conquering their country and incursions into a few local countries.
This is evil incarnate, as Ambassador Crocker put it so succinctly and well. Evil incarnate doesnt fill out brackets, or rest or grow weary. It marches on and sneers at the delusions of its enemies who dont even know they are the target.

Bingo, you got it... Bush thought he could mollify the evil of Islam, he was ignorant of evil’s ways. Obama? he is the extension of evil into our world... God help us!!!
but even that does not get it... no one wants to tell the truth about Islam period.
I don’t agree .both “moose limbs” and Democrat liberals need to be called out, identified, and fought against without pulling any punches. Bush tried to mollify both, and failed at both.
You and I rarely disagree, but ‘fraid we do on this.
FREGARDS CEW
I think my post made it clear that I drew significant distinctions between Obama and Bush. I’m pretty sure I did.
That doesn’t change the fact that we have a 13 year track record of a Presidents who won’t speak the truth about this issue. Yeah, one’s worse than the other, but 13 years in a row is why we have no respect and no fear of America anywhere now.
I rarely defend W, but think he was right strategically on this one.
Back later, but let me be clear: this religion sucks, it needs to be taken out. The current CIC and his destructive policies of total appeasement are the problem now. W killed 90% of their entire leadership, had them on the run, the bamster revived them, gave them money, and brought them back from the brink.
Obama is to radical Islam as Rachael Carson was to malaria spreading mosquitoes.
Better pack a lunch.
The difference is W was destroying them while calling them peaceful. The bamster gives them money, tries to further their cause, and winks while they get stronger.
The idea that the war in Vietnam was ever a “victory” is absurd, just as is the idea that our involvement in Iraq ended in “victory”.
Victory is MacArthur getting off a C-47 at Haneda and walking down the main street unmolested. Victory is a decree abolishing the SS and having them all obey.
Victory is NOT having the US puppet government overthrown the minute we turn our backs.

The Bush family being in oil also has had frequent dealings with wealthy Muslims of the Saudi royal family and has probably had his opinion of Islam shaped by those interactions with more secular Muslims.
Beat me to it. I’m sick of hearing that qualifier, “radical” Islam.
A Freeper-—can’t remember who it was-—said it best: Islam is a war plan.
By you and what army?
Bush was “advised” that you don’t want to start a war with 4 billion muslims at the same time.
Agreed; there is no victory without the enemy having totally lost the will to fight.
Who want our destruction every bit as much as ISIS, they just go about it in a different manner.
Well maybe if you hadnt gotten rid of Saddam, this guy wouldnt be a problem now.
In some ways a “Pseudo Secular Strongman” is a better thing in a Islamic Coutnry for Christians than a “Islamic Democracy”....
Re: Rule of Mob invites genocide...
uh, the war was already started. Hard to win a war you don’t admit is going on.
Besides, I totally reject that not calling them a religion of peace is the same thing as starting a war with them. Sounds to me like you have been cowed
.
Certainly long enough to reach high positions in government!
