BTW, the research at Scripps who worked with the Mapp people just a mile from where I'm sitting was on KOGO this morning to explain the process. Right from the horses mouth.

“I think we’ve got to let the science guide us,” Obama said ..

Wouldn’t it be interesting if the drug was not what helped these Christian medical workers, but instead it was God answering prayer? Oh no....that would be bad news for a lot of people.

I heard a black guy on the radio today who basically said: who knows what this drug will do, better to try it on a couple of people (the white folks at Emory now) than go and give it to tens of thousands of (black) people.

I don’t know who the guy was, he’s on a new (to me anyway) Sirius Channel called “Urban Radio” or something like that.

Armstrong Williams is on in the PM, and this was the morning guy. I don’t know if he’s a conservative or what.

But then he was getting annoying even though I agreed with him, so changed the channel and never got his name.

How confident is he that it’s working?

“I think we’ve got to let the science guide us,”

Very logical. I'm sure we will be guided by the science just as with gore-bull warming.

Why should our fascist leader start caring about Africans now? The fascist EPA achieved great success by banning DDT and causing hundreds of thousands in Africa to die of malaria. Mayhap those on the left are anxious to speed up the African death process with this Ebola epidemic.

Exactly how much [experimental Ebola formula] is on hand, and exactly how long does it take to produce more?

Oh, and a second question. Did Obama say we might need all the experimental Ebola serum for the USA, & therefore could not spare any for Africa? Is that the official reason for withholding it?

Want to bet that he’s waiting for a bigger bribe from the company or companies? There is at least one more serum being tested by the FDA.

What is the news source for this? Thanks.

The researcher is a "she". Her web page is at link. Use of the experimental material was treated as a humanitarian emergency. The good news is the experiment didn't kill the patient(s). The apparent short term efficacy was pretty good for Brantly. She normally employs the treatment in test subjects with a significant load of Ebola inoculation and earlier in the infection process than occurred with Brantly.

Perhaps you should explain why at this early stage, as it appears to be breaking out and is in the giant city of Lagos, that we should be shipping our doses to Africa?

I can’t answer the question you posed to me unless I know exactly how much of this experimental Ebola serum has already been manufactured & exactly how long it takes to make more.

& btw, neither can you.

Four companies working on Ebola treatments/preventives. I like Tekmira, a Canadian firm, currently in fast-track negotiation with the FDA.
Here’s info on the four:

The sociopath speaks. African deaths don’t touch him. Doesn’t matter if they are mere children or if the death is painful. Ditto any other deaths that don’t touch him directly. He is without empathy. He thinks only of himself. If the case were made to him that he could be seen as a hero, & this would be a critical part of his legacy, he might allow it. But only because he saw self-benefit. Other than that, he is content to play ‘god’ & allow people he has no personal feeling for to die like plague rats.

That is a very firm and condemning statement, and clearly states that you want our promising Ebola drug doses shipped to the Africans.

To: Fantasywriter
Don’t you think it might be a little early in this outbreak to be getting rid of our experimental Ebola medicine by sending it to Africa?

Unless you can explain it and convince the blacks in Africa it’s probably going to be too late.

The rumor mill has taken over.

In the minds of black Africans there is a cure and the whites are withholding it.

They have set up a wholesale slaughter of whites in Africa by announcing the possibility of a cure then withholding it.

You have no idea who much anti-Ebola serum has already been made. You haven’t a clue how long it takes to make more. So you are blowing mindless smoke. Get me those two answers, & we’ll talk. Short of that, stop making baseless accusations.
