HOLMES BEACH, Fla. – An 80-year-old Florida woman grabbed her gun and called 911 during a home invasion. While the burglars were breaking a window to her residence, the police dispatcher told her to “put the gun down.” Huh?
Logan was all alone — her husband was playing bridge at a friend’s house. That’s when she took matters into her own hands. She grabbed her gun and dialed the police emergency number as she headed downstairs.
“When I called 911 she kept saying put the gun down, put the gun down, and I said I’ll put the gun down when I see the police,” Logan told the station.

Nope - you are quite accurate. Another white woman called the FloriDUH Game Commission to report a bear had chased her dog andwas so close to the dog she had to shut the door on her pet because there was no way the door could be shut fast enough to let the dog in and still keep the bear out.
She had to listen to her dog being killed on the other side of the door. She couldn't shoot the bear because FloriDUH Libtards and AgencyPersons gave the bears(common black bear) “special protection”.
When she got a younger, black female on the line she was told “Get a higher fence, the bear was there first”.
I hope I am wrong, but every day it seems some AgencyPerson, or Urban Feral, or illegal alien is doing their best to fray the fabric of America until Civil War II finally results.
The 911 operator was covering her own butt. If she didn’t tell the caller to put down her gun and the “innocent” perp was shot, the case could mean trouble for the operator. On the other hand, if the caller was killed by the perp while holding her gun, it is just more evidence that owning a gun can get you killed. Chalk it up to yet another case of the police getting there too late. Too bad. Meanwhile the 911 operator can say that she was just doing her job.......

She is simply a parrot for the cops. Above all else, they “need to feel safe.” The safety of the homeowner is clearly secondary. People should have a town hall meeting, make it clear to the cops about guns in the home and that they will have to deal with an armed homeowner in responding to this kind of “call for service.”

No. In fact I wouldn’t doubt that the 911 operator was
intentionally doing that for that particular outcome. You
should see the people they hire for that job and most
government jobs. The unemployable, people who just got out
of prison or mental institutions. I wouldn’t doubt it if it’s
farmed out to minimum security prison inmates. Never ever
trust a government employee unless you know for sure who
they are and even then be wary.

You are giving far too much credence to the “intellect” of the 911 operator. They probably consider a morning pee and tying their shoes as major events in their daily living experience.
Send that Florida lady a case of champagne!
Women who are 80 and over out here are small business owners, well armed-they know how to use those guns and do not mind taking out an intruder-in this isolated area, help from the sheriff is 30-60 minutes away...

I could swear that one of the things the Zimmerman 911 operator said, on the stand, was that nothing he said should be construed as direction, because they aren’t allowed to give any and are even trained not to.

They prosecutor and Tray's partners in crime (the media) were trying to say Zimmerman did not follow the 911 operators instructions. You are quite right...They're there to assist and notify proper authorities and no more.
