Lately its hard to take John Boehner and his Coppertone tan seriously. However, when it appeared that the House Majority Speaker was proactively taking the wind out of Barack Obamas they want to impeach me sails, there was a glimmer of hope that someone on the right had actually grown a spine.
Republicans reiterating that impeachment was not an option exhibited a rare unified spirit. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) even hobbled up to the mic to reinforce Boehners proclamation that impeaching Barack Obama was a talking point that Democrats, not Republicans, were going on about.
Is that a pulse? Could it be that finally, after six long years of waiting, the geriatric wing of the Republican Party had actually mustered the strength to block the presidents desperate effort to divert attention prior to the midterms in November?
Or could it be that Obamas pathetic attempt to garner sympathy at the expense of Republicans is a Saul Alinsky tactic?
Think about it - the impeachment chatter on the left may very well ensure that the very thing Obama is accusing the right of wanting to do - and goading them into vowing not to do it - will clear the way for the president to do whatever he darn well pleases without obstruction.
After pointedly proclaiming that impeachment is off the table, Republicans will not be able to appropriately respond to impeachable offenses without looking like idiots who cant keep their word.
In Rule #4 of his book Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky advises his merry band of Lucifer-loving Alinskyites, one of whom is Barack Obama, to Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. Saul says that after you do, you can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

Sounds like something the “No Labels” party would come up with.
And then there is the US Constitution - - - .
It’s just a GOTV ploy and nothing more.
This current crop of cowards have removed Article 1 of the Constitution and Impeachment from their powers. They have in effect, completely surrendered to Obama and the democRATs and have set for the future, a horrible precedent.
They've used this principle with incredible effectiveness against social conservatives. Seems to me we could be using it against them with incredible effectiveness on environmental issues.

And that's another good reason to draw up articles of impeachment. Now.
Screw appearances — do what’s right for the country!
I’m against anything the eGOP is for.
Same for those trying to foster Christian guilt over rejecting the invasion of illegal aliens... being unchristian is shameful? OK... What do you call those who endorse sodomy when they support homosexual marriages or who support infanticide when they support late-term abortion (including BHO)? Shameless hypocrites perhaps? Or just progressive Democrats?
I don't think our Founding Fathers wanted impeachment decisions to be made based upon an analysis of Saul Alinsky. This is just crazy talk.
Keep it simple. Obama is trashing the Constitution. Impeachment is the Constitutional remedy. It's really that simple. The House has a duty to protect the Constitution.
Unless Obama does something to piss off the Democrats, impeachment is off the table anyway, because the Senate is controlled by rats.
Pursue lawsuits and try to bring some control back the executive through judicial action.
After the midterms we can reassess whether impeachment is an option.
Huey Long got 51% of the Louisiana legislators to sign a letter stating they would not vote to impeach him for ANY reason.
Then he was free to do whatever he wanted.
I see this when they go after guys like Scooter Libby and Tom Delay to name a few.
