Leave it to Laverne Cox to make sure Oprah's best friend gets her trans terminology right.
The Emmy-nominated Orange is the New Black actress the first openly transgender woman to receive that honor appeared on CBS This Morning Tuesday to promote the show and her other projects. When co-host Gayle King started her section of the interview by saying So, you were born a boy
, Cox quickly corrected her by saying that she was assigned a gender at birth, but she always felt like she was a girl.

Actually, the choices aren’t limited to XX or XY. There are several other possibilities, each of which appear in anywhere from 1/5000 to 1/500 of the population (about 1 in 300 people may have one of the abnormal combinations). These include: XO, XXX, XXY, and XYY.

If you did have cable, you would know OITNB isn't on cable.
Open one FR can of worms at a time. LOL!
Yes that could happen.
We are told by these trans people that we are too binarynfocused,,and too focused on genitals regarding our sexuality.
So its now somehow bigoted to see visually what the sex of a baby is. That’s not allowed per these trans activists.
Welcome to the Grand Illusion!
Isnt that Styx?
Should be the LGBTQ anthem.
L: how did they get to be first? I guess we know who wears the pants in that group.
G: They wanted number 1. They like number 1 but they LOVE number 2.
B: Third puts them in the middle which they like because they can go either way.
T and Q: I got nothing. Help me out.
If I played for the NFL, I would be in a re-education camp right now.
"Gender" is a grammatical category, and it divides words into types by "masculine", "feminine" and "neuter."
Sex is a physical reality, and in humans there is a male sex and a female sex.
Describing sex - a physical reality - as if it were a grammatical category is a purposeful and political distortion of language.
Least ‘she’ could do is change her name. Cox?
But those rarer chromosome combinations are still always the same gender. XO is only females (Turner’s syndrome). XXX is always female. XXY is always male. XYY is always male.
She’s the trans-police. She is always “correctly” people on how they should speak.
I stand by what I posted — nothing more, nothing less.
We need asylums, about half the country needs to be sent to one.
Growing up is supposed to clear up that confusing, but then lefty parents will put a collar on you and chain you in the backyard if you decide you were really a puppy
So its ok for you to make my post something more, but if I make yours, you get tight lipped.
Sounds like what a typical liberal does to me.
They hate themselves. Chopping and grafting won’t solve that.
Televised idiocy.
End of story.
About ages 9-12, I was a star pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, throwing nothing but strikes and pitching perfect games.............but I out grew it.
Oops...
Adam’s Apple.
Dead giveaway.
Gag....this was on morning network “blabberfest”?
No wonder SEE B.S. morning show is the lowest rated.
Liberals I know, don’t use facts to win debates.
I responded to your post #1, where you said: “”Let’s base this on established science. What are your chromosomes, XX or XY? Oh, you’re XY? You’re a male.”
I happen to agree with what you’re getting at — but, if you’re going to invoke “science”, then you should get the science right — otherwise you’ve just set up a straw man that your opponent can easily knock over.
The “science” part is that there are more chromosome combinations than just XX or XY. That’s just a simple fact — one, I was gently trying to point out you had wrong. What that means, I don’t pretend to know — except that your next post to me was overly simplified, and not entirely accurate. (I posted a link to an article — start by reading it, and do whatever other research you need to do.)
