GAZA CITY — Israel’s aerial assaults on targets in Gaza broadened on Tuesday, with barrages that destroyed Hamas’s media offices, the home of a top leader and what Palestinians said was a devastating hit on the only electricity plant, plunging the enclave of 1.7 million into deeper deprivation with no power, running water or sewage treatment.
The intensified assaults on the battle’s 22nd day came as diplomacy toward a cease-fire sputtered amid apparent confusion and mixed signals.
Israel’s military made clear it had widened the scope of the bombing campaign in Gaza to hit the political structures of Hamas and another militant group, Islamic Jihad, including the home of Ismael Haniya, the No. 2 Hamas official behind Khaled Meshal, its leader-in-exile in Qatar. But Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a spokesman for the Israeli military, said it was unclear whether Israel had been responsible for the debilitating strike on the power plant, where an enormous fire hurtled thick, black smoke skyward, visible for miles.

Sure will be dark and stinky in Gaza, but for solace, the Pali crowd can sit and think of how much fun it was to fire 2600 rockets into Israel the past few months. They’ll probably think it was worth sitting in sewage now.

There are no really happy stories in the muslim world since false religions generally do not produce happiness, but the three least happy stories are those of the "palestinians", albanians, and chechens, and palestinians are probably the worst of the lot. Their main problems are, in my view:
1. A false religion which is said to have "bloody borders".
2. Inbreeding. Something like 50% of all muslims are said to be inbred and in places like Pakistan or Gaza, that rises to 60% or 70%. Simple Google searches on "muslim inbreeding" and/or "palestinian inbreeding" will quickly convince you I'm not making this up.
3. A studied and extreme form of victimology which is abetted and reenforced by UN agencies and which you can read about at www.palwatch.org if you're not already familiar with the problem.
4. A brutal indoctrination system for children.
Palestinians are basically the kind of people who give barbarians everywhere a bad name and it is irrational to expect Israelis to just sit there and absorb the kind of crap which has been being dealt out recently.

One would think that would balance out the coverage, but its so one sided one would never know Hamas shot 9000 missiles at civilians in Israel.
CNN has always been the Anti Israel network. Go back and watch the coverage of Israel/Lebanon war in 2006, CNN was accusing Israel of committing war crimes then too..the idiocy never changes..new year, same BS..I would love for some rockets to fall on CNN”s head, I’m guessing it would take Wolf(Who got a negative 5000 on Jeopardy) to poop his pants after 1 rocket strikes..he would be crying for his mommy
Rush just made an excellent point, one that should have been Obvious. Barack Obama say that America has no right to make demands about Iran’s nuclear policy, or who comes to power in Egypt, or how the next generation of Africa’s leaders should govern. America is no better than any other country and does not have the moral authority to tell any other country what to do - EXCEPT when it comes to Israel.

God, I hope so.
Meanwhile, the number of potential deaths in Israel from Hamas rocket passed the 100,000 mark and now stands at 102,570 people that would have been killed without the Dome and with better Hamas missileteers.
The attempted murder of such a large number of people is genocide on the order of the Holocaust. Hamas is now one of the greatest enemies to Humanity in world history.
