Tuesday, July 29 15:20 GMT:
Kiev is ready for a cease-fire now, US Secretary of State John Kerry claimed, following a meeting with Ukraines Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Washington. Kerry added that President Petro Poroshenko is also ready to start talks with the militia in the southeast of the country.
15:06 GMT:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a telephone conversation with US State Secretary John Kerry has urged Washington to influence Kiev to achieve a prompt ceasefire and to start negotiations with southeast Ukraine.
Lavrov stressed the need to return to the accord achieved at Geneva on July 17, including an end to the use of force and to promptly start an open and accountable process of constitutional reform involving all regions of Ukraine.
The two diplomats also agreed to implement the UNSC resolution which demands the provision of an international and independent investigation into the causes of the MH17 disaster and a ceasefire in the region surrounding the crash site.
So you support Putin because Obama doesn’t? So if Obama said “Don’t jump off a cliff!” would you jump off one?
Never you mind that the strongest opposition in congress to Putin’s drive to resurrect the Soviet Union is coming from Republicans, trying to override Obama’s dithering and indecisive handling of the crisis...
More on the rocket launches:
US officials say that Ballistic missiles were used by Kiev.
Russia now says that in the past 48 hours, Kiev’s army fired 3 SS21 short range ballistic missiles at separatists near Snizhne.
Ukraine has just released a denial, saying they haven’t fired any ballistics, at all.
So, who are we now supposed to believe?
Why you of course, tcrlaugh.
After all your source of information is always direct from the Kremlin and they know everything.
Any news yet about that cease fire that you were reporting on earlier or is that already in the circular file???
I don’t have a problem with Ukrainians firing their SS-21s at Russian terrorists. It gets uninformed public all exited as the words “ballistic missile” sound extra scary to them and they imagine something completely different than SS-21s with a range of ~50-100 miles.
This is VERY interesting....
The source is “Rovesty” and I don’t know anything about them, but remember what I said about the August 1st deadline?

If what I posted above is true, there has got to be some real hand-wringing going on in the White House right now, between this, and Israel.
I’ve said, all along, that my biggest fear is that the moron in the White House was going to stumble his way into a full-blown World War.
The show of support for Russia comes as the Kiev government claimed police have found a mass grave containing 52 corpses in a Ukrainian city formerly occupied by pro-Russian rebels.
The find is in addition to the earlier discovery of 14 bodies, claimed Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashchenko.
‘Police have interrogated a man who was burying the bodies on the order of terrorists,’ he said.
‘He pointed at a mass grave where 52 bodies were buried, but this is not all. Many bodies were buried here and there. We are working at locating all the bodies.’
Your biggest fear should be watching your heroes marched off to The Hague in handcuffs —
