Get ready for the New England power shortage, reads the headline in The Spectator. Governors are already meeting in emergency session.
In a hell-bent campaign to rid itself of any form of dirty, messy non-renewable energy, New England has been closing down coal and oil plants for the last decade, the article warns. In 2000, 18 percent of New Englands electricity came from coal and 22 percent from oil. Today its 3 percent coal and 1 percent oil. Meanwhile, natural gas the fuel that everybody loves until you have to drill for it has risen from 15 percent to a starkly vulnerable 52 percent, just behind California.
Theres only one problem. New England doesnt have the pipelines to bring in the gas.

Thanks to Bill Gannon for this link
If these predictions are correct or nearly correct, looks like the Northeast will have brownouts or possibly blackouts this winter, says Bill. My prediction comes from the fact that the EPA has reduced power generation in the Northeast by forcing older coal plants to shut down.
The natural gas plants only store gas on site. Why? Because environmentalists wont let pipelines be built. How about power from Canadas hydro power dams? Those same pesky environmentalists, fight tooth and nail to keep transmission lines from spoiling the scenery.
Environmentalists
.they call themselves green because theyre too yellow to admit theyre really reds.
Spectator article mentioned.

Libs only like "natural gas" because it has the word "natural" in it. Yes. They're that dumb.
Maybe they can get their illegals to cut wood for them or help breakup the furniture, or maybe they will reap what they have sowed and freeze in the dark.
They voted for it. Enjoy it.
Sadly many people will suffer if there is indeed a power shortage this winter. Many of those will be people that never thought we should get rid of coal and as for the rest, the tree huggers and their kind, they never learn until it’s too late, after people have been harmed. Even then many don’t learn.
I hope that there are blackouts. People should have to feel the pain of their bad decisions.
It’s not New England, it’s NeoEuropa
Guess they shouldn’t have voted for liberals.
Greenies can freeze in the dark.
For all those NeoEuro-peons!
I hope there is a cold snap that leaves much of the northeast shivering in their darkened homes about a week before the November elections. Maybe then they will realize that elections have consequences.
Oh well...that’s a shame.
That’s what is happening in Germany because electrical power is so expensive there.
I hope it lasts the whole winter.
I think it might be humorous if (in order not to freeze to death) the NE enviros chop down their forests for firewood. What a quandary for those insipid fools. If they suffer...more the better.
There’s PLENTY of power ... jus’ nobody got no money, tha’s all.
With a lot of them, I rather doubt it. They will do all kinds of mental gymnastics to blame anyone or anything else than the precious “wun” and the destroyer party.
Let them freeze and suffer.
It’s time to bring back the bumper stickers: “Drive Faster/Freeze a Yankee” in it’s more modern and truthful form: “Drive Faster/Freeze a New England Liberal”.
