In a study published earlier this month in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives, Tasian and his collaborators reported that higher average daily temperatures increased the relative risk of forming kidney stones. The results indicate that the changing climate can directly affect human physiology.
"We were looking at what is the risk of a patient presenting with stones after daily temperatures rose," he said.
The researchers in this case looked at a database of insurance claims from 60,433 patients from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and Philadelphia between 2005 and 2011. They assessed the relative risk of kidney stone formation compared to a base-line reference temperature of 10 degrees Celsius using weather data.
In addition, just as infections like dengue and Lyme disease creep northward as the climate warms, risk for kidney stones is increasing beyond the "stone belt" in the southeastern United States.

From my personal experience: tea = stones. Formed two 1.2 CM stones in 12 months, drinking green tea every day. Four years later, after no tea; kidney’s are clean.

Absolute and total propaganda. 85% of kidney stones are a mineral named calcium oxalate. Excess oxalate is excreted by people who have genetic metabolic errors that don’t allow them to process it if they eat foods rich in oxalate. The oxalate binds with calcium being excreted in the kidneys and is not water soluble. Hence, it forms little stones that get larger and larger until they become the most painful thing that the “stoner” has ever experienced.
Now how can this be related to global warming? Oh, I forgot, EVERYTHING is related to global warming!

I have had over a dozen kidney stone attacks. The first one was while I was in Virginia Beach.
As it turned out, my Dr. was considered perhaps the best urologist in the nation. He told me they were calcium and that I was from the deep South which is the kidney stone belt.
He also said they really don’t know what causes them to develop more in the deep South.
I am sure that doesn’t keep a lot of people from saying they do know such as temperatures.
I thought it was too much calcium.

Global warming also causes hemorroids. After all people in hot countries eat hot foods, causing firery farts and burning nether parts. All this leads to anal strain, constipation, and hemorroids.
I have found that eating ice cream helps me to cope with the suffering caused by global warming. Is there a Federal program to furnish emergency ice cream to sufferers like myself? Chocolate chip works best.
