Pew Research poll also shows Israel as staunchly pro-U.S. and most supportive of drones and surveillance in the fight against terrorists.
The fact that Isrealis are one of the most staunchly pro-American people in thw world is not new. But that their confidence in Barack Obama's ability to handle world affairs climbed dramatically to reach an all-time high?

And the Guardian more than anyone reported on how the Obama adm. is spying on regular, heartland-of-America Americans.
And 71% of Israelis have confidence in Obama’s policies in Obama’s use of surveillance (and drones).
So your problem with Haaretz is..., unless you are a big-govt’t, top-down, must know all McCainiac or Rep. King-style person?
To: golux
Logically fallacious, sweeping generalization such a saying in Hebrew is...
To: familyop
And John McCain, as is Lindesy Graham, Peter King, etc, can be found on the polar opposite from Haaretz. So, what is your point -— that you support RINOS?
To: familyop
You have it backwards: why should we Republicans continually reach out to Israel, show that we respect them, believe in and adamantly support their national right to exist as a sovereign state, etc, only to find that they after all of this overwhelmingly support Obama? I support Israel, but Repubs get back stabbed all of the time it seems: i.e. Where do most of the big bucks go to during election cycles be they 2 or 4 year ones: to Dems or Repubs?
To: AuH2ORepublican
Ah, the sppech police....
Nice red herring, though.

I hope you like the intentional misspelling of “speech” LOL.

So if most of Israel supports Obama, where then does that leave Republicans? How can they differentiate themselves from him,, or do they intend on carrying out the same policies that Obama has, so that they, too, can reap the rewards of high poll numbers?

It leaves them with their ongoing activities, for example, pushing for a constitutional convention controlled by state and local government employees and influential constituents to eventually pass an amendment to allow state and local unions (through their state politicians) to more easily amend the Constitution (re. Levin, _The Liberty Amendments_, Article V convention herd).
Same policies, other side of the same political face.

I don’t understand what you mean. It’s a joke. It’s funnier to me after having read HAARETZ in Israel through the disengagement and after. In case you’re slow or something the point is that HAARETZ is kind of like the New York Times and Village Voice meet “The Blade” in terms of its editorial stance.

Can't find a copy of the poll, though it's at complete odds with other polls about Obama. Given the source, Ha'aertz, I can't help but wonder if the question was America rather than Obama. Who has consistently been polling in the 10% or so approval area. Not that it matters what Israeli's think of him. Most recent I could find quickly was from Feb, 2014, 70% wouldn't trust him. Even at his lowest in Israel, about 4% approval, Israeli's still trusted America

Haaretz is like a liberal National Enquirer.
Generally zero truth to whatever they post.
This poll is the exact opposite of all the other polls.

It’s a nonsense poll; completely opposite of all the others.
The paper is a known joke.
