MSNBC's Krystal Ball was the victim of a phone prank by a Howard Stern fan pretending to be a member of the U.S. military in Ukraine who witnessed the Malaysian Airlines flight 117 crash.
"Well, I was looking out the window and I saw a projectile flying in the sky and it would appear the plane was shot down by a blast of wind from Howard Stern's ass," the man said.
"So it would appear the plane was shot down, can you tell us anything more from your military training of sort of missile system that may have been coming from?" Ball asked.
"Well, you're a dumbass aren't you?" the caller replied.
After an awkward pause, MSNBC went to a commercial break. Ball explained what happened when she returned to the air, "We thought we had an eyewitness on the scene. That individual was not actually an eyewitness."
I’m mad. I caught every one of these live over the years and missed this one.
I don’t like Howard Stern at all, but that episode from 1994 ought to be remembered as one of the greatest, most entertaining moments in the history of television news. LMAO.
Listening and watching this...Krystal already had her talking points from Soros/Obama....and was going to respond that way no matter what the caller was going to say...
That’s right, but the 1994 incident linked above didn’t involve “Captain Janks.” It was a guy who later called himself “Maury from Brooklyn” who was all pissed off about one of the networks interrupting the coverage of the NBA Finals to cover the OJ story ... so he began calling all of the various networks with this prank until he found one that put him on the air. LOL!!
How dumb is that?
Remember that Howard Stern himself was fired from his job at a radio station after an on-air episode in the aftermath of the Air Florida plane crash in the Potomac River back in 1982. He called up an Air Florida reservation line and asked if he could purchase a one-way ticket from National Airport to the 14th Street Bridge in Washington, D.C. (the plane had crashed into the bridge before landing in the river).

She ran for congress in 2010 in Virginia district 1. It seems redundant to say, “Boy, you really are a dumbass.” and, “Boy, you really are a democrat.”.
Well, I think we farted in their general direction and prevented that....
