Netanyahu's office says purpose of mission is to destroy terror tunnels and seriously harm the infrastructure of Hamas and other terrorist organizations in Gaza.
DF ground forces began to move into the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, the prime minister's office confirmed.
The purpose of the operation was to destroy the Gazan terror tunnels leading to Israel, according to a statement released by the prime minister's office.

I imagine Obama will release a statement shortly condemning this action by Israel. Obama and his ilk hate Israel and all it stands for.
Those who hate Israel will decry its actions no matter the outcome or details. Israel needs to do what it must do and have no care for the approval of the rest of the world. Do it right, do it completely and come home.

They SHOULD be taking out Hamas leadership, in person, by drone or any other way possible. Killing a few low-level bomb throwers and rocket launchers is good, but you really want to get those WHO GIVE THE ORDERS.

It would be interesting to run a high pressure stream of gasoline and oxygen into them. A sort of controlled “fuel air blast” within the tunnels and watch what blows up on the other side.
