Pope Francis says migrants around the world are subjected to racist and xenophobic attitudes and he wants the tens of thousands of Central American children crossing the border into the United States to be welcomed and protected.
... He said that not only must the children be welcomed but the world must also promote development in their home countries.

It is uncharitable to assume that the desire to control our borders is based upon racism. Calumny is a grave sin.
Involving himself in sensitive geopolitical situations will never win more people to Christ.
Tax the Church so that we can pay for them.
Catholic church now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marxism International?
Good, send them to the Vatican then. They can pay for it.
I’m tired of busting my ass to pay for everybody else’s bleeding hearts.
Not to mention bearing false witness.
And the Pope can kiss the only part of me that isn’t white.
Yes, it’s never the fault of the corrupt sh**holes, including Mexico, where they come from.
Does he mention their own country welcoming them?
I’m sure he means by Catholics. This is likely happening already. I wonder if the Pope can get Obamacare exemptions for Catholics in exchange for the Church’s humanitarian relief? Could be a win-win.

How about some hundreds of thousands of islamist kids set up camp at the Vatican?
They only welcome Nazis.
Just by pinging you two I will be accused of bashing Catholics by the FRoman Catholic contingent.
I meant the Pope’s home country only welcomes Nazis.
“Lets ship three or four thousand of them to the Vatican City and see what happens.”
We all know what would happen to those children, and none of us would want to see that.
The Pope needs to read his Bible for a change.
