Glenn Beck has set up Mercury One Children and Family Border Relief Fund to help illegals coming into the United States. Hes already raised $600,000. Beck stated that Obama would not have to step in and ask for $3.7 billion if private charities would pick up the slack and give to the swarm of illegals crossing the border.
Is he kidding? Do we really need more churches and non-profits enabling this blatant attack on America?
Rich people and liberal elite billionaires have no skin in the game when it comes to the consequences of illegal immigration so what do they care?
Its the working class and middle class who will take the hit. Its not bad enough that Team Obama is giving illegals free rein when it comes to social services, we have to witness do-gooders on our side making public displays of their Christ-like behavior towards people who are breaking the law while telling us to walk in love.
..Compassion for the down-and-out is fine, but invading a nation by the tens of thousands is an act of war.
...What really bites about all of this is the implication that those of us standing against this monstrous disregard for the law are not following Christs teachings. Is funding Obamas plan to destroy this country in the New Testament

Sv, that’s too kind, girl. Thank you
If Beck wants to raise money - but NOT use tax dollars - and help these kids until they can be sent home.. then I’m fine with that...
But the kindest thing he could do is help change the laws so these kids can be sent back as soon as they’re found, discovered, turned in... whatever.
Well, the title of the thread asks the following:
Are Beck and Company Funding Lawlessness in the Name of Jesus
So; how do YOU answer the question?
Good; for they’d NOT learn it in ‘public’ schools.
Is it illegal to purchase teddy bears and toys?????
Look, let’s not throw words and accusations around which simply divide us. Obama has found a way (lawless for sure) to make immigration work according to his ideology...and... technically speaking, according to the current immigration law. The children are pretty much innocent dupes that he is using...much like the hard-working taxpayers whose money he’s spending left and right on worthless and often anti-American projects .
The border needs to be FIRMLY secured and the vast majority of the children kindly sent home.
None of this will happen if we are not praying, turning back to God...and united in spirit. Perhaps what Beck has done is imprudent...but it is certainly not evil. The REAL forces of evil behind all of this smile wickedly at the division they encourage among normally good people.
Ohhh Good grief...may God grant you a modicum of wisdom.
Beck practices mormonISM.
mormonism is NOT Christianity
___________________________
I am very aware of that. I have prayed for his conversion. Have you?
I pray for all mormonS to find the true Christ.
I was commenting on your comment “I can see Beck is doing good”(or close to that), the question maybe should have phrased “what do you mean good”.
Me saying mormonISM and Christianity are not the same goes to the nub of the question “same words different meanings”.
When you say “good”, you and Beck are using different meanings.
Christian say good, we mean charity
When mormonS say good they are working towards a higher celestial level
I thought I made myself clear by stating in one of my posts that it is good to try and comfort these children... but that it may be an imprudent action on Beck’s part.
I’ll leave Beck to God and concentrate on Obama and his radical appointees (as well as the radical, Godless leadership of the present Democrat party).
I’m afraid we are going to see a lot worse from Obama before this is all over. The mask is quickly coming off and his arrogance is taking over...a dangerous thing to be sure.
Time to increase our prayer for this Nation!
Hehe. Reminds me of a great Dennis Miller line from the days when Manual Noreiga was in the news. This is paraphrased, but very very close:
"Manuel Noeriga says he found Jesus in a Florida jail. I've got news for you, pal....every other guy IN that place is named Jesus!"

AAARGH!
I just want to beat every acolyte of that dimwitted, weepy megalomaniacal Morning Zookeeper about the head and neck with a broken bottle of the alcohol of Beck’s choice.
I’ve seen from the very beginning that he’s ideologically incoherent and possibly deeply disturbed. And lately it’s also been eminently apparent that he’s ready to veer sharply left. I heard him months ago prattling about “heterofascism,” for example. Or as I like to call it: “sanity.”
People regarded him as a conservative for reasons I will never understand. Because he said bad things about Obama, I guess. But you can’t name a controversial issue on which he’s taken a solid conservative stance, buttressed by philosophical underpinnings and logic. It’s nothing but conspiracy blather with a veneer of religiosity. But think about it, have you even heard him take a solidly and unequivocally conservative position on anything of consequence? Homomarriage? Abortion? Gun rights? “Global Warming?” Even taxes for God’s sake?
And now that he’ll be getting sloppy wet kisses from the left for his embrace of the vermin invading our southern border? Watch out! He’d already been droning on endlessly about “reaching out” to the left. Has anyone heard his nauseating embrace of some leftist rabbi? Think that guy sincerely respects Beck, or regards him as a Useful Idiot?
Beck will be getting lots of lefty love now. And you just watch....he’ll be reciprocating aplenty!
Hank
Unlike whoever wrote this article, I actually listen.
He has repeatedly said that these people should be sent home ASAP — but that they need to be cared for while they’re here. He hasn’t said they should stay, though he has said that he understands why they come — as I do.
That’s not the same as saying people with infectious diseases should be allowed into the country. But they’re coming, due to policy choices we’ve made. What would you do? Let them die?
That is not “changing the subject” at all.
And yes, he said the United States should be more accessible to those fleeing poverty and violence. Those are our ideals, our principles. He said we should change the visa system so that those skilled people who want to come and contribute to our society can do so more easily. The fact is that the current system is complex enough to be an incentive to come illegally. After we fix the border, let’s fix that.
But again, that does not equate to inviting people with infectious diseases to come in. He’s inviting those who want to be part of the American dream to find a path to join us — legally. The claim that is being made about Beck is false, and the people making it mostly know it’s false.
No, I haven’t. He’s the same guy.
your naivete is astounding and for you to claim you are a Christian, where is your discernment from the Holy Spirit? If you can’t see these “children” aren’t going to be part of gangs and crime and drugs and thievery then you aren’t being led by the Lord but a misguided feel good demon. I’ll be praying for God to grant you His wisdom so you can see the truth. How many of these illegals are already part of the MS-13 gang and have murdered people and raped women/children. This is truth we already KNOW. For you to turn a blind eye to it, you are just as evil as Glenn Beck is.
Ok so should I venture to guess you are liberal, hispanic or a pushover Christian or a combination of all three? I’d appreciate an answer to this question this time, ok?
Part of the problem with that open border mentality is we not only get workers but they send that money out of the country and they do not assimilate especially if they are illegal. They do not want to become Americans, they want free stuff and still live like they are in Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, El Salvador etc, and they will not learn English but flagrantly speak Spanish when they need to leave that crap back where they came from if they want to be accepted as Americans. I’m sick of seeing this country being transformed into “New Mexico”
Same guy my foot, he sold out a long time ago.
The Breitbart piece isn't accurate? How so?
"He has repeatedly said that these people should be sent home ASAP but that they need to be cared for while theyre here. He hasnt said they should stay, though he has said that he understands why they come as I do."
Their motives are irrelevant. They're illegal invaders. I understand Beck says they should go back, but his version of "caring" for them goes overboard, when they could be turned right around after being given food and water.
"Thats not the same as saying people with infectious diseases should be allowed into the country."
According to the article, Beck said they should be able to come here even with their contagions.
" But theyre coming, due to policy choices weve made."
And more are on the way, thanks to Beck's encouragement.
" What would you do? Let them die?"
Oh, of course. Anyone who doesn't subscribe to Beck's grandstanding is heartless and wants to see them all dead. /S I'll say it again. Water and a hot meal, and a plane back. Why do you expect more?
"That is not changing the subject at all."
"And yes, he said the United States should be more accessible to those fleeing poverty and violence. Those are our ideals, our principles."
Maybe they're yours and his, but we have enough freeloaders here already. The United States cannot take responsibility for the world's victims. If it were up to me, I'd close down immigration altogether for a while.
" He said we should change the visa system so that those skilled people who want to come and contribute to our society can do so more easily. The fact is that the current system is complex enough to be an incentive to come illegally. After we fix the border, lets fix that."
No, thanks. Let those skilled jobs go to Americans. Making it easier for immigrants is at the bottom of my list right now. I'm more concerned about, say, our own veterans who can't even get the health care they need.
"But again, that does not equate to inviting people with infectious diseases to come in."
Again, according the article, that is Beck's view.
" Hes inviting those who want to be part of the American dream to find a path to join us legally. The claim that is being made about Beck is false, and the people making it mostly know its false."
I seriously doubt that.
If Beck is so eager to bring more people into the country, let him fix up his big home---isn't it a ranch?---and he can take in a whole mess of them. Give them jobs at Mercury One, too. Then he can put a sock in it and stop berating the rest of us for what he thinks we should do.
That isn't his position, and it's not what the quote they use actually says.
