The guy made the cops angry, he was obnoxious but sometimes the cops need to learn to walk away, as they expect the citizen to do in a similar situation.

This country was founded by obnoxious men. Unreasonable men that were considered extremists.

Ryan was a dumbass. Should he have been arrested? Nah, but maybe Ryan just needs an ass kicking to straighten him out. I bet he reminds the cop pulling him over for speeding that “He pays his salary”

Two hours in a cell and a disorderly conduct charge (that will likely be dismissed) for being a prick. Looks like the free market at work to me!

The guy was an a-hole, interrupting their meal to start an argument.

Monroe County is where Rochester is located. That department is staffed so three cops can have their meal break together.

Did the guy break a law? Probably not. But even though being an a-hole is not a crime, people who do that need to realize that there are sometimes consequences.

Since when has refusing an order to “turn around” when you've done nothing wrong become a “lawful order”.

Three deputies spending their duty time hanging out get pissed because a citizen suggest that they take turns taking a break instead of all taking a break at once is a crime? Judging based simply on the cops overflowing bellies, they've spent considerable time taking donut breaks.

I don’t know of anyone who wants some obnoxious twerp who doesn’t know diddley-squat about their job coming up and deciding that they don’t like to see you having lunch and you’d better disperse and get back to work.

This was nothing less than a self-serving video stalking and assault on these officers, by a videographer and his buddy.
What is missing in both the explanation, or in the original footage is what time this incident occurred.
Wan't it about two weeks ago that somone approached and killed two police officers in Virginia , with no provocation ?

Wasn't to have a real treat ?

A few weeks ago, a 14 year old school girl, left a handwritten note castigating a police officer for bad parking on his windshield. The Officer was polite, humble and slightly amused at having been issued this citizen’s warrant. In this, a grown man, near the age of the officers approaches them with a sarcastic tone. It should not be the case, but many police officers are subject to peer pressure like other people. This pack behavior is more likely when they outnumber the ‘foe’ three to one. He should have kept his mouth shut, and they should have just let it go.

There are some laws on the books, I think California that makes it an arrestable offense for disturbing a police officer for non emergency reasons.

Good thing I wasn't there, I would've asked the cops:

"So, what breed of dog is on the menu TODAY, Officers?"

Fascism.
“Disorderly conduct” is the charge they use when the action does not fit into any category of a real crime, and they want to arrest you anyway.

Never be confrontational with the police.

When you poke a stick into the tiger’s cage, make sure the stick is thick and long enough. However, before that, make sure that the cage is LOCKED!

Guy deserved it. His posture and attitude would make any normal person think he was *that* close to throwing a punch or something. Ignoring him wasn’t working. Looked like a first class jackass to me.

I once called cops “pigs” on this site for something they did and got HAMMERED for it.

So, in this case, it is OBVIOUS to me that this man TAUNTED the cops and got just what he deserved. Maybe next time he won’t question their judgment.

What is wrong here is that the cop went out of control and inflicted uncontrolled violence on a man in a wheel chair, he wasn’t arresting him or telling him to prepare for arrest, or even subduing or controlling him, he lashed out with a completely emotional type of violence and expression of anger that could have seriously injured the man, and which was in no way formal or controlled.
