So let me get this straight, his dad was crazy too, right? Do you think it is genetic or is it just that anyone who espouses cutting ALL aspects of government power is "crazy" in your book?

I am a conservative first and an anti-statist second. I would pick a conservative like Cruz over Paul any day but if that wasn't possible and I had the chance to put a true anti-statist in power, I would take it in a heart beat. I may not agree with him on everything but I believe that he is a sincere anti-establishment, anti-Fed, anti-Federal power, anti-two party system ideologue.

I think he is as radical an anti-statist as Obama is a statist. I think that is what we need right now.

I agree with everything you say about Rand Paul. I'm uncomfortable that in conflict with his views he has shown support for RINO backstabbers in the US Senate. I'd rather he bring together a coalition of constitutional conservatives and some dem Senators who are better than their party's agenda.

If Rand Paul stays too close to the Oligarchs' agenda, it'll ruin his free-thinking attributes. I'd also like to hear more of his dad's message about the Federal Reserve and about avoiding recreational warmongering. JMHO

I used to believe that too, then I wised up after I saw Paul rolling over for the GOPe. Paul is now unacceptable and I used to be his biggest fan here. I have kept a very close eye on Paul, he has sold out.
