Din Maker: Since Oct 29, 2013.
So, what’s your point RINO-lover? It’s people like you who will bring me great consolation when the GOP wakes up on the morning of Nov. 5th to the news that they did NOT take control of the Senate. I will be so happy on that day, knowing that you, and all the other sissy RINOs, are grieving and in deep pain.

GOOD FOR YOU! And I’d venture to say that there are hundreds of thousands more just like you out there. My daddy used to say: “You can kick an old dog so long, after awhile, he’ll rise up and bite you.”

Hey tellw, seniority has no impact on the correctness of ideas. And in most, if not all cases, it is a left-wing idea. LOL. Tellw - the Thad Cochran of Free Republic. Been in office longer than some generations have even existed!

Thanks Dave. I have already sent a reply to tellw. I get so tired of some of these old farts, who’ve been on this website for a gazillion years, thinking they have the right to diss people or run to the Moderator and try to have someone zotted because they are not in step with their line of thinking. And they are from both extremes; the RINO-lovers and the Conservative purists. I just don’t let them intimidate me. I get right back in their freakin’ face.
Thanks again.

This is the doing of MSM!!! You people dont get the power of the MSM and the Low Information voter. Thats our crisis, not so much the GOP.
Excuse me Alissa; we're not stupid. I know what the MSM can do. I know that they have ruined any chance of Sarah Palin ever running for national office because they have convinced the American public she is a dolt. I know how the uninformed electorate continues to pull the lever for the 30 year incumbent because they "recognize the name". I say again, we're not stupid. But, don't blame the MSM for multiple thousands of Conservatives who are saying "We're mad as hell and we're not taking it anymore." We will not vote for Mitch McConnell who hates us and has threatened to crush us and then expect our vote in November. We will not vote for the senile, race-baiting, Democrat-lite Thad Cochran after what he has done with the help of the Barbour cronies in MS. We will not vote for Lindsey Graham when he has proven that he is more Dem than Conservative. And he has a 3rd Party Challenger in Nov. who just might toss SC to the Dems. And if that happens.... GOOD!

Michigan, New Hampshire, and Oregon were always longshots. I wouldn’t give up on North Carolina or Colorado just yet. I don’t see the Democrat winning in Mississippi no matter who the candidate is. Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana and Arkansas will be interesting.
To: Din Maker
An expected +6 pickups means GOP hopes are slipping away.
Remind me to not sip the FR juice.
To: DoodleDawg
I dont see the Democrat winning in Mississippi no matter who the candidate is.
If Chris McDaniel can somehow run as a Write-in or Independent OR..... if his supporters withhold their votes in the Senate Race, OR even vote for the Democrat, Cochran could lose. The Democrats in MS are fired-up and excited. Look for a lot of money to pour into MS for the Dem candidate. Given the mess the GOP has made of their Primary, the Dems think they have a realistic chance at that seat. Childers (Dem candidate)who is Pro-life and Pro-2nd Amendment, is already going after the McDaniel supporters.

I admit that anything is possible. But I still think that even in the scenario you painted the odds are still heavily against the Democrat winning.

Since this election cycle began, it was “expected” that the GOP would not have any difficulty picking up the 6 seats needed for control of the Senate. However, if someone tells me, days ahead of time, that they expect the sun to shine all day today, yet I wake up and see that the clouds are getting darker and the wind is picking up, I’d say the chances of the sun shining are “slipping away”.

It looks as good as can have been expected. We were never going to run the table like we did in 2002. Stay calm and carry on.

You’re on to something. How many FReepers are planning to run for their local government offices - county, local government, libraries, school boards, etc.?
Just one lonely conservative with a bull horn media personality and some PR savvy could expose a lot of waste, fraud and abuse.

It’s a shame that some of our Tea Party candidates from past elections didn’t attend that Leadership Institute... seriously.

Underestimate the Republican party's innate ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
That's why they're called the STUPID PARTY!!
