BS! You suck at strategy.

They said that about George Washington. He still won the war.

Dedication to the cause of Liberty overcomes impossible odds. Just ask the founders.

Boehner would never do it, no matter what.

If the Founders wanted the Courts to handle Impeachment, they would not have given the duty to Congress.

Boehner is the idiot that thinks this can be resolved through the courts. The duty belongs to Congress. The courts have no say in it. Nor should they. There is no appealing an impeachment.

Boehner Disagrees With Sarah Palin on Impeaching Obama

Assuming for the moment that Boehner gives a rip about what is best for the USA, perhaps this is not the right time, politically, for the Congress to address impeachment. Sarah Palin is not in Congress; neither are we.

This is the appropriate time for every citizen with a higher IQ than a turnip to be screaming for impeachments, for removals from offices, for trials for treason and multitudes of other capital crimes. Every single day is the appropriate time for citizens to demand justice.

Sarah Palin is absolutely correct to be leading the citizens in these most civil demands that Obama be impeached. Every citizen demanding the same, every day, is absolutely correct in their demands and their timing.

Obama should be tried by a military tribunal

The courts are in a hammerlock as Eric the Red is able to stop the prosecution of any federal case he doesn't like.

Similarly, as CIC, Barry could have any military personnel replaced at his whim. Who would empanel and populate such a tribunal, or how did you think such a plan was actually going to effect what you would hope to happen?

Impeachment is a political act. So lets use it to our advantage, not our disadvantage. Impeachment now will vastly increase Democrat turn out in November. Stupid idea.

With all due respect, it is exactly this kind of thinking that has gotten us into the mess we're in now. Short-term political advantage should not trump principles. When Congress sees the President and his agents committing unconstitutional acts, it is their duty and obligation to take action. Failure to act will only foster future tyranny by the Executive Branch. Personally, I believe that the conservative position on this is to do what is right for the country even if it entails short-term sacrifice (and I'm not convinced that the interests of the conservatives and the Republican Party are aligned).

The way that the Republican "leadership" is framing this, they have already surrendered. They are afraid to challenge Obama because it will rally his base but by not challenging him, the Republicans are giving him the authority to rule by fiat. These vague threats of doing something after the elections (with their dreams of controlling both houses of Congress) are meaningless and Obama knows it. As soon as the elections are over, the argument will become impeachment is too divisive and besides Obama only has two years left. Or that impeachment is a waste of time because there will be no conviction. (We have already seen both these arguments on this thread.)

Impeachment is as much about future Presidents as it is about Obama, so the timing and conviction concerns are irrelevant. If Congress stands aside and lets Obama run roughshod over it and the Constitution, the stage is set for even greater abuses in the future. Palin is right in thinking long-term about winning the war and Boehner is wrong for thinking of only the short-term consequences. One is speaking as a statesman, the other as a politician.

WRONG!

Politics is war by other means.

The object of war? DEFEAT THE ENEMY!

I have no patience for chest thumping stupidity, I have no patience for suicide missions that have no possibility of defeating the enemy.

POLITICS is what we are playing right now. Get with the program. Learn the game.

If Rep. Boehner is so blinded by Obama’s light that he cannot recognize the repeated injuries and usurpations by the boy king, then he needs to step down and retire from public life...

It's painfully obvious Boehner isn't up to the job.

I agree with Boehner on this issue.

You don’t charge unless you think you can prosecute successfully.

The votes are not there in the Senate to remove the Clown.

WRONG again.
The Boehner lawsuit is a great legal and PR idea to make clear that Obama IS violating the law.
And it is a great way to ACTUALLY toss out some of Obama’s illegal acts and orders.
We did use the Courts on other issues. Obama has lost by Unanimous 9-0 rulings in the Supreme Court, for instance, and many other times by smaller votes.
But Impeachment is a different matter.
We should not take that road without popular support.
We should not take that road without a chance of success.

As mentioned in a related thread, it takes the support of both Houses of Congress to impeach somebody out of the Oval Office. The problem is that in order for the Senate to do its part, patriots and former Obama supporters need to make sure that 2/3 of the senators are willing to kick Obama out after the 2014 elections.

The problem is that patriots have to be organized to win 2/3 of the Senate. And while Palin is beating the drums for impeachment, I find it disturbing that she’s not mentioning anything about trying to win 2/3 control of the Senate, and time is running out to get the word out. (Is Palin just politicking like all the other scumbags?)

The military is the only branch of gov capable of stopping BO. It will amount to a coup but there is precedent. The first step is to arrest the CIC as an enemy of the state. The next is to solicit the SC to sit in trial.

Your strategy is insane.
Not only will it not happen, it won’t work, and it would actually be more damaging than any other strategy I can imagine.

The long and the short is that Barry very much deserves impeachment (and worse). To raise awareness thereof, particularly in light of the MSM's abrogation of its duties to keep the public informed, we all need to trumpet Zero's treasonous and anti-Constitutional behaviors in Letters to the Editor and have examples of his criminality on our lips, in conversation with anyone who'll hear us speak our minds.

If impeachment and removal can't happen, so be it. But, we should not be dissuaded from spreading the word and speaking our minds, as impossibilities will take care of themselves, if that's what they truly are.

I'm very thankful Dinesh D'Souza wasn't cowed from delivering his most recent exposé, despite being politically hounded by the FEC. He has been paying a tremendous price for his passionate expressions, and the injustice of the corruptions of his adversaries going unpunished for far greater crimes only embosses and gilds D'Souza's artful argumentation against his (and our) foes.

To use the analogy of movie, "America", let us assume a George Washington has been taken out on a figurative, contemporary battlefield. Does that irrevocably imply the idea of America as we know it in our hearts will not survive? Is there not then opportunity for others to take his place? Then, let's push on toward the light of justice--never giving up!

Zero needs to be impeached to preserve the CONSTITUTION even if he cannot be removed. Boner is either too stupid or the NSA has the goods on him.

Correct...Clinton’s impeachment made him MORE popular.

Do we really.want to do that for Obama?

Impeachment is as much about future Presidents as it is about Obama

It's interesting to read on this board that we have a large cohort divorcing from the GOPe and pledging to vote only for conservatives. Yet, when the matter of impeachment comes up, a large cohort proclaims, "Can't do THAT. Only the democrats will benefit."

I wonder how much overlap there is?

It is unrealistic to think that a majority can be installed in the Congress via the midterms to then move against Obama. The correct strategy is to begin the process and make it a campaign issue. Make them all answer "Which side are you on?"

And, yes. It IS about the future as much, or more than punishing Obama. The crimes have been done and show no sign of diminishing.

We got outraged about Clinton lying under oath. How small that seems in comparison to what we are dealing with today.

So sad for our Republic. There were such high hopes for this one, but his Kung-fu is weak.
