How can Israel have peace if its unwilling to delineate a border, end the occupation? asks White House Mideast chief, Phillip Gordon, in a blistering Tel Aviv speech.
Israels ongoing occupation of the West Bank is wrong and leads to regional instability and dehumanization of Palestinians, a top American government official said Tuesday in Tel Aviv, hinting that the current Israeli government is not committed to peace.
In an unusually harsh major foreign policy address, Philip Gordon, a special assistant to US President Barack Obama and the White House coordinator for the Middle East, appealed to Israeli and Palestinian leaders to make the compromises needed to reach a permanent peace agreement. Jerusalem should not take for granted the opportunity to negotiate such a treaty with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who has proven to be a reliable partner, Gordon said.

Delivering the keynote address at the Haaretz newspapers Israel Conference on Peace, Gordon reiterated Obamas position that a final-status agreement should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed land swaps

Obama is a traitor to this nation.
He knew of the children coming six months ago, and didn’t do one thing to stop it.
Congress should stop funding anything that this president has pushed. Just end it now.
We’ll see who has the power to create law, Obama or Congress.
The House can simply cut him off at the knees. Stop funding his projects. End it today.

An observation well worth noting. TY
Philip Gordon’s family needs to spend a few nights in a bomb shelter like Israelis are doing tonight in order to understand that Hamas is evil.
To end the occupation, the arabs need to leave ISRAEL’S LAND!!
UGH!
It is not for nothing that I call Obama the affirmative action Hitler. The real Hitler did build the autobahn and conceived the Volkswagen (with Ferdinand Porsch) while Obama did the Solindra boondoggle.
Yesterday I was discussing literature on an online forum, and one of our friends from Israel was posting the latest count of rockets and cities targeted.
Another person, an old friend of the family, a year ago sent us a photo of a building next to his... ten huge concrete panels were entirely gone, several apartments gutted, burned, several floors destroyed. Israelis are playing Russian Roulette every single day.
IMO, if Palestinians want war so much, they shall have it. They just shouldn't complain if it doesn't end well for them.
If a Israeli murders a Pali, Israel doesn’t name a street after the murderer.
Half of Israel in bomb shelters??

and I am sure Obama is demanding Israel show restraint.
The Obama Administration’s spreading chaos and evil around the world...

Why Obama Picked Philip Gordon For NSC Post
President Obamas new National Security Council coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf does not have much experience with Israeli and Palestinian issues, but observers said the White House will instead benefit from his extensive inside-the-beltway skills.
Philip Gordon took over as special assistant to the president and coordinator for what is often referred to as the Central region at the NSC on March 11, bringing with him years of federal government experience and a decade in Washingtons think tank world. Like some of his predecessors, Gordons strengths lie more in his knowledge of Washington than his familiarity with the meeting rooms of Jerusalem and Ramallah.
Longtime peace process veteran Dennis Ross previously served as senior director for the Central region during part of Obamas second term, and Gordons ascension to the role marks a shift from Rosss familiarity with the area. With new secretaries of state and defense and widespread staff changes at the start of Obamas second term, much about the peace process remains in flux. Gordons choice could signal a lower prioritization for Israeli and Palestinian issues compared to Syria or Iranor at least less direct control from the White House, which may hand over the reins to Secretary of State John Kerry and the assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs, a position currently vacant. Even as Obama comes off his first trip to Israel as president, during which he spoke fervently about finding an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it remains to be seen how the White House and the State Department will divide responsibilities for the region.

Not sure why, but I love when Israel rolls up their sleeves and displays the beautiful blue and white flag on their tanks and starts lighting up the night skies. Its like the smell of Irish Spring in the shower.
Gordon talks out of both sides of his mouth throughout the entire article. Just as Alibama does....like two peas in a pod. No wonder at all BiBi has little interest in speaking to these two....
Can’t hardly believe he would say such things in Tel-Aviv conference.....stunning really!
...”rise in Arab population (such as, an over 50% rise during 17 Years 1920-1937), all due to Jews’ work in the “vacant land” of Palestine, that all of a sudden made it all attractive”....
That whole area was a dust bin before Israel cultivated and built it up.
The Arabs are a jealous and hateful people even among one another. With all the oil wealth they could of cornered out a small land area any place else in the ME and let them go at it... but then of course they’d have no reason to chide Israel all the time...nor a place to get their suicide bombers from.
Our so-called leaders in Washington are absolutely insane.
I heard that half of Israel is in bomb shelters and being told they need to be nice.
This is when JUDGEMENT begins to fall on our land.
I happen to be one of those old fashioned Bible believing Christians and I am not afraid at all to say so!
God is quite clear about Israel. To turn our backs on this land is asking for trouble... and that from The Highest of High...God HELP US!
Maybe you need to be even OLDER fashioned and ask the Lord into YOUR life.
Heaven’s battles are not fought by proxy.
No-one can live in peace with muslim neighbors.... It is not possible.
