RUSH: This is Ann and Ed in Southern California. Welcome. It's great to have you on the phone. Hello.
ANN: Hello.
RUSH: Hi.
ANN: Hi, Rush. How are you?
RUSH: Just fine. Thank you very much.
ANN: Great. Well, we have some interesting news. My husband Eddie is on the phone with us. We live in Southern California, and we're Catholic, active Catholics in our community, and there was a town hall meeting last evening, emergency meeting called by our local parish priest, ordered by our bishop (unintelligible) and the Archdiocese of San Bernardino. They have made the decision that they're going to absorb the immigrants that are coming through because the federal government called the bishop's office on Monday and they're gonna be busing these immigrants to our communities and asking us to open our homes and to house them for up to a month. The church will reimburse us for any out-of-pocket expenses and we were told not to talk to anybody about it, especially the media. I'm not especially happy about it. My husband is a retired doctor, and he will share his concerns with you regarding this matter. Eddie, do you want to go ahead and talk about your thoughts?

Catholic church has supported amnesty and the illegal invasion for quite some time now. Congrats on waking up to it.
At least the Hmong fought along with the US in the war on communism. They should have been brought here. The same thing happened through the Lutheran church of the small town in which I grew up. It was a success! There is a big difference between the Hmong and the scum we now get.
I remember the Soviet Union used to put 10-12 people in the same apartment...and only one or two had a ‘government motors car’ allowance and they had to wait years to get that bucket of bolts.
I hope we have more backbone to stand against the tyranny than the characters in Dr Zhivago. The Drudge headlines said 300,000 illegals have entered since April 2014. The press only talks about the 56,000 "children". It's an invasion.
There were reports of another 300,000 on the way too.
The very fact that these were not deported is encouraging more.
Having lived in Texas for a decade, I can affirm that Texans are all talk.
They are goodie goodie little Christians who like to talk tough, but will ultimately roll over for the authorities.
One day in the not too distant future when the demographic realities suddenly become impossible to ignore (In the day-after analysis of an election in the next 10-20 years) there will be a sudden change.
On that day conservative Texans will rapidly transition from their unjustifiably self-confident "Don't Mess with Texas!" and "If at first you don't secede, try, try again!" to "We're all Doomed!" "How did this happen??!!? Socialism has won and there is nothing we can doo about it!!!??"
That day is inevitable, and most are just too dumb to see it, or too passive to do anything about it.
bears repeating
All cultures are not equal
All cultures are not equal
All cultures are not equal
All cultures are not equal
All cultures are not equal
Exactly- after mentioning “FEMA camps” 50 times, Eddie FINALLY mentioned Cloward - Piven/overwhelm the system.
Welcome to the party, Eddie. He and Ann need to buy several clues. The scary thing is, this is the majority of the country’s thinking :(
Yes Exactly.
Well when the invaders are in their house - I will
admit that I was wrong. But if they decide to not
go along with the BS - I will be waiting to hear from you...
Add this to the Border Patrol equipment. Add mines along the border on our side. Make it clear that the invaders are not welcome.
It won’t happen under this President or Congress of course.
what are you talking about? This couple is clueless. Period. They are so stuck in the paradigm of the small picture, they are incapable of stepping back and seeing the big picture.
If they grow up and change, so be it. I hope they do. But I know what I heard, which was two people who - while not stupid, are indeed clueless. They are also type B left brained thinkers.
That’s an interesting take - I hadn’t looked at it like that - but maybe you’re on to something.
What struck me is they vexed Rush, who could not put his finger on what was irritating him - because he wanted to like them. But in the end, I don’t think he did.
Are they going to start demanding we quarter illegal aliens?
***
I have been thinking that for a few weeks, now.
Over the Independence Day weekend, we had house guests, among them my favorite sister. She and I were talking about how we might be forced to give up our houses to the illegals since our children are grown and we are retired.
We were joking about keeping house in my shed, but it could wind up that the joke would be on us.
The USA will be no more very, very soon.
Not our priests.
The Bishop tells them not to talk tot he Press? nuh-uh.
The doctor husband brings up Ebola? How about TB, gastroenteritis and cephalosporin-resistant gonorrha. Much more likely.
I'm gonna wait and see.
I did not hear them on radio - but I read the transcript.
I was under the impression they were not going along with this. So I read the transcript again to find where I got that from.
Rush: Now, wait. Because your’re gonna be asked to house
some of them yourself?
Ann: Yes.
Rush: Are you going to?
Ann: NO. That’s why I’m calling, etc...
Will the church be reimbursed? By who? The government?
