Murrieta protesters oversimplify a complex immigration crisis
Los Angeles Times ^ | July 8, 2014 | by David Horsey

The unwillingness of the House of Representatives to discuss immigration reform — let alone actually pass a bill — has left the debate in the hands of a crowd of screaming hotheads in Murrieta, Calif., who show no inclination to let facts get in the way of their paranoia about brown-skinned hordes subverting the America they revere.

The protesters in Murrieta say there’s a simple solution: Send them back! They neither understand the law nor the complexity of the situation. Unsurprisingly, they are being fed their facts by Rush Limbaugh and other right-wing ranters on talk radio and Fox News who portray the whole thing as part of the liberal Democrats’ heinous plan to change the very nature of American society.

This is not a simple situation and there is no simple solution, so nothing will be gained from oversimplification by either bleeding hearts on the left or the stone-hearted shouters on the right.

Booo hooo. The people on the ground actually know what’s going on: illegals are being dumped on them, regardless of the context of the law. I don’t see Mr. Horsey offering his bachelor pad to a couple of them.

What else would you expect from the mouthpiece of the Mexican government like the LA Times.

We have more than enough laws and resources in this country to enforce border security....we lack the will to do so.

...screaming hotheads in Murrieta, Calif., who show no inclination to let facts get in the way of their paranoia about brown-skinned hordes...

I see the LA Times geniuses have simplified the problem to racism.

This article isn’t worth reading past the headline. Since when is illegal entry “complex”?

It’s only a “complex immigration crisis” to commie morons looking forward to the collapse and destruction of America. Americans know how to take the “complexity” out of it. Seal the border and deport the freeloading, marauding invaders. Not “complex” at all. Their poverty is their own government’s problem.

By law, the "children" can only remain if they are the victims of human trafficking.

If you want to go that route, Ubama/Holder are the ones engaged in the human trafficking, therefore Ubama/Holder should be prosecuted under human trafficking statutes.

Maybe it is complicated for stupid liberals but your average citizen has a good grasp on what is going down.

All the dems want to discuss about immigration is “total amnesty”.

The take away is, if the current royalty and the congress aren’t going to protect this country from invasion, then it falls to the states and the people.

“They neither understand the law nor the complexity of the situation.”

Guess what? The situation is not complex. These people are here illegally. Enforce the laws on the books, and deport them.

For David Horsey:

Get a Webster’s Dictionary and look up the word “illegal”

Right. When I call the police about a burglar in my house, they damn well better not tell me it’s a “complex situation and I don’t understand the law”, and maybe he has a right to stay there.

Of course, if I were calling the police about a burglar, they wouldn’t have the option of letting him stay, because the coroner would need to get him down to the morgue to perform the autopsy, but you see what I mean.

No, it is very, very simple. Open borders to a welfare state is a recipe for disaster. Our bum politicians in Washington on both sides of the aisle REFUSE to SECURE THE BORDER. When the border is secure, the crisis is over and the problem is solved. Turn the #@%&*#! busses south instead of north and take them home if you have to. . . very, very SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How utterly moronic. “Immigration reform” has nothing whatsoever to do with enforcing existing law. NOTHING!

>> a crowd of screaming hotheads in Murrieta, Calif., who show no inclination to let facts get in the way of their paranoia about brown-skinned hordes subverting the America they revere.

That’s it, throw the race card. That’s all the LA Times has.

Our “path to citizenship” is the most generous in the world. Many follow it. Many others do not.

Those who do not follow our law do so with incredible arrogance. After violating our law to enter, they demand to be forgiven, they demand social services, they demand citizenship thus cheating those who do follow our laws, and some even interfere with our government proceedings.

They are not “in the shadows” they are brazenly marching in the streets making demands.

Every one of them insults those who follow our laws. Every one of them insults U.S. citizens.

They are in our country against our laws and they have the audacity to march in our streets and make demands.

Its not a lack of will, this is deliberate policy.

The elites in both parties benefit from this.

If illegals were all conservative republicans who demanded high wages. How long do you think it would take for the border to be closed. Hint, 24 hours.
