The retail giant Costco Wholesale has issued an order to remove all copies of Dinesh DSouzas bestselling book, America: Imagine the World Without Her, from the shelves of its stores nationwide, WND has confirmed.
The book, in this midterm election year, is a strong rebuttal of the progressive ideology behind President Obamas policies, which have been supported by Costco co-founder and director Jim Sinegal, a major Democrat donor and a speaker at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that nominated the president. A Washington Post political reporter has noted Obamas romance with the nations second-largest retailer.
At Amazon.com, DSouzas book, released June 2, is ranked No. 43 overall and is the No. 3 hardcover book in Amazons Politics and Government section and No. 1 in the Commentary and Opinion subsection of Politics and Government.
Costco has sold more than 3,600 copies of America nationwide, with about 700 copies sold last week as DSouzas film by the same name opened at more than 1,000 movie theaters nationwide.
But Costcos book department issued the pull-order, requiring all Costco stores nationwide to remove the book, confirmed Scott Losse, an inventory control specialist in the book department at the Costco Wholesale corporate office in Issaquah, Washington, a suburb of Seattle.
The July 1 order required all copies to be removed by July 15.
Contacted for a reaction, DSouza was surprised to learn of the Costco decision.
If true, this would be very odd, DSouza said.
Were in the process of finding out whats happening. I look forward to getting to the bottom of this and continuing the strong relationship my publisher and I have always had with Costco and their millions of shoppers.
Most Costco stores WND contacted Monday had already pulled America from the shelves, with others scheduled to remove it with their regularly scheduled inventory

Yet Costco a few weeks ago had no problem selling dog treats made from China that has been proven to kill dogs..gee Costco, gotta love those priorities..a shame since my Mom is a Costco member and I have always loved going there for the good deals

A textbook example of the ‘tolerant’, ‘open debate’, ‘diverse’ Left. Ban and burn everything you disagree with.
New costco in our neighborhood...neighborhood republican/conservative. Bad news for Costco.
I like BJ’s better. Much easier to find things and my local one had the nicest staff.
I hope this is not true. IF it is I hope they change their mind. I don’t appreciate my “grocery” store trying to censor anything.
Costco, a membership-only national chain, is known for its cavernous warehouses that hold every conceivable item usually in bulk. Its chairman and co-founder, Jeffrey H. Brotman, is a major Democratic donor whos given around $400,000 to Democrats since 1990, including to Hillary Clinton for her 2008 presidential campaign, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.
If we applaud Hobby Lobby and its leadership for standing by is values we have no basis for condemning the leadership of Costco for standing by its values, even though we vehemently disagree with those “values.”
Private businesses.
I’m going to Costco tomorrow, if this is true, I’ll cut my card up in front of their manager...
B@#st&rds.
Nomenklatura - Literally, “name list”, if you are on it, then you get all the favors and sugar, and if you’re on the dissident list then Their Doctors come to a finding that you are insane, and you are carted off to a “hospital for treatment”.
More and more we these artifacts of the USSR are surfacing, here.
They have every right not to sell it.
We have every right to condemn them for it.
When 700 copies of a book are sold system-wide in a week, it’s hard to claim it was done for political reasons. That’s just not enough volume to keep it on the tables when space is limited. I would imagine Hillary’s book has also been pulled or will be shortly.
The competition to get products placed at Costco is fierce and if products don’t meet sales expectations, they get pulled.
Does Jerome Corsi ever post anything that is truthful? I suspect this is more sensationalist grand-standing by this fraud.
I would encourage everyone to contact them. I just sent them an email on their website and asked if it was indeed true. If so, I would be spending my American dollars elsewhere. I would encourage everyone to email them with your comments
but otherwise, don't make them your everyday or every week store....buy only when you need to and only when its a really great price....

Give the CEO a message on his Facebook page.
Well well, how timely. I was about to purchase a membership with Costco.
I’ve decided to remove myself from Costco.
