More than one week after the polls closed in Mississippi's hotly contested Republican U.S. Senate primary, the campaign many have called this year's nastiest political fight shows no signs of letting up.
Chris McDaniel, the Tea Party-aligned candidate in Mississippi who refused to concede after losing in last week's GOP primary runoff against incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran, is digging in further. In an email to supporters Wednesday, McDaniel announced he is building an "Election Challenge Fund" to contest what he called a "corrupt" election.
A source on the Cochran campaign fired back in a conversation with Business Insider Wednesday, in which the source dismissed McDaniel as a "clinically diagnosable narcissist" and a scam artist.
"The guy is basically Joel Osteen," the source said of Mc

good point!
“We” Thad?
No, Democrats voted for you in the primary, and in the general election, they will vote for your opponent.
So no, it wasn’t “We”, it was “lying and general scumbag behavior with some vote fraud pie.”
McDaniel race is 3rd party. That’s why GOPe is hysterical. We don’t need to branch off, just need to support real conservatives and get them to D.C.
No. They are not. The GOP-E would rather lose the Senate than have to deal with Tea Party Senators.
Isn't it strange how aggressive the GOPe talks about a primary challenger, but so "statesmanlike" about the dims?

The Mississippi Republican elite must be more interested in maintaining control of the gravy train than in winning. At this point, constitution-loving US citizens should be hoping some of these criminals end up in jail.
bump
Exactly so. Make every RINO have to fight to save themselves. By doing so, it will rip their masks off so all can see them for the self-aggrandizing frauds they are. Make them all pay for Mississippi.
McDaniel is a man I would like to see on our side in the US senate helping to fight against the liars and evil doers. Most republicans just put their tail between their legs and give up when it comes to a fight.
But this is the gem that made me chuckle.
More were surprised McDaniel, who many view as having a bright political future in Mississippi and potentially beyond the state's borders, is mounting this challenge amid the risk of losing support of the national Republican Party.
With friends like those...
So Cochran resorts to profanity and name-calling.
You know what that means.
remember Rubio kicked the posterior of Charlie Crist, who was actually ENDORSED by the national gop in the PRIMARY.
now Rubio is their darling.
It can be done and a third party can be a majority party but reality is money is needed and a tight organization is essential.
A winning coalition would comprise:
1. Conservative republicans
2. Moderate republicans who are appalled and sickened with the Cochran wing of the GOP
3. Independents who make up 30% of the electorate
4. Perot voters who number 6,000,000+ and who sat out the 2012 presidential election and cost Romney the election
5. Reagan democrats
6. Libertarians
But it needs about $200M infusion or about $3 per member.
Call it the ‘Tea Party’ and make the MSM eat crow on all the yellow journalism and smears they’ve associated with that name since it was called out in 2010.
>Minorities have become nothing more than tools to be used by the little white boys and girls down at the Commie RAT DNC.<
.
These minorities don’t care if they are misused by the RATS — after all, they automatically vote for them, every time.
Incorrect. Conservatives may know that but not the general public that get their news from CNN. They think it’s a war over on the far right. The dems are laughing their asses off
“No. They are not. The GOP-E would rather lose the Senate than have to deal with Tea Party Senators.”
The GOPe has been throwing away senate seats for the last few elections just so the Tea Party leaning folks don’t reach critical mass. I remember about 4 years ago when they abandoned at least 3 viable candidates right before the general election. Some people say they actively sabotaged them.
They would rather lose to the dems than win with tea party republicans.
