No. They are not. The GOP-E would rather lose the Senate than have to deal with Tea Party Senators.

The GOPe has been throwing away senate seats for the last few elections just so the Tea Party leaning folks don’t reach critical mass. I remember about 4 years ago when they abandoned at least 3 viable candidates right before the general election. Some people say they actively sabotaged them.
They would rather lose to the dems than win with tea party republicans.
