n the aftermath of the Mississippi Republican Senate runoff it is becoming increasingly clear that establishment Republican leaders hijacked the election from conservative Chris McDaniel.
Understandably, there are some liberty loving voters and commentators who have said this proves that conservatives should bolt the Republican Party and start a third party or perhaps join one of the existing minor parties. snip
So if bolting the Republican Party is not the appropriate response when our candidate is cheated out of a Republican nomination and our fellow conservatives suffer personal attacks and threats, how should conservatives respond to Mississippi?
1. Conservatives must demand that the leaders of the Republican Party stand with the grassroots of the Party to investigate allegations of vote fraud in the Mississippi Republican Senate Primary Runoff.
snip
2. If we conservatives have to act on our own, we should use every legal means to determine if the Mississippi Republican Senate runoff election was honest.
snip
3. We must stop feeding the enemies of the conservative government.
snip
4. Conservatives must be very aware that the race-baiting attacks on Chris McDaniel were condoned or in some cases led by the Republican establishments state and national leaders.
5. What happened in Mississippi is a direct result of the alliance between Big Business and Big Government Republicans, such as Thad Cochran.
6. Perhaps most importantly, we conservatives must recognize that what happened in Mississippi can only continue to occur if the establishment controls the levers of power in the Republican Party.

The people who are trying to advance the idea of bolting the Republican Party and starting a third party are Democrats. Their strategy is called Divide and Conquer.

From reading the headlines of this article, I would’ve surmised the same thing as you. If you read the entire article you will find that is not what it says.
The gist of the article is that conservatives must unite and take over the leadership of the Republican Party. That the Republican Party leadership is simply an organization to keep incumbents in power.
If conservatives are to take over the party the article says, that we must stop donating to the Republican Party and start donating only to conservative candidates.
After reading the entire article I feel impressed that it contains wise logic and is well worth reading every word.
Holy Crap: Corruption in the Mississippi Senate race looks much worse than we thought
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3174434/posts
This scandal has the potential to blow up the GOPe nationwide.
It’s still early enough to recover for November.
I need to hear from Senator Ted Cruz when this scandal topples McConnell.
I am absolutely behind us conservatives starting a third party, and I am most definitely not a democrat!
We can’t divide and conquer the Republican party because its already been done.
The most powerful, immediate response to this crap would be for Mississippi conservatives to refuse to vote for either candidate in the general election. If the GOPe sees that this behavior is going to cost them elections and power they may think twice.

Exactly. I’m not in MS but if I were a voter there, Ol Thad would NEVER again get my vote even if it gave the election to another Barak Obama.
We have one good thing on our side: the mainstream media would like nothing better than to have a scandal in the Republican leadership’s ranks, so they won’t let it go. Unfortunately, that will also take all the Obama scandals off the table.
I cannot stand Rinse Repeatus / Prince Reibus anymore than Michael “get jiggy wit it” Steele. BTW did anyone listen to Michael Steele getting reamed by callers regarding Cochran stealing the election on XM Radio where he was filling in for Mike Church? Steele got called out for the RINO he is in the short amount of time I listened last Thursday and Friday for a few minutes. It twas great!
Or conservatives tired of being stabbed in the back and called racists by the GOP Establishment.
I am not that pessimistic. I believe the public will look at us the Tea Party Republicans as ‘cleaning house’ and as long as we rise and shine we will have the image the public wants to see and can trust.
There is still enough time to recover for November.
The Obama scandals will go forward.
Then I'd like for you to explain how continuing to support a party of moral cowards who have betrayed our bedrock Republican principles is not the issue.
A black Mississippi pastor has emerged to claim Sen. Thad Cochran's (R-MS) campaign paid thousands of Democrats $15 each to vote in the June 24 GOP runoff and that he was part of the scheme.
He didn’t get to the bottom line.
By spending a ton of money and cheating, the RINO might win the primary. But without conservative votes, the RINO will lose the general election to the Democrat.
Had they played fair, the seat would still be Republican, but they cheated. Granted, the GOP-e would prefer a Democrat over a conservative, they have made this clear. But conservatives can still win by slowly and methodically purging RINOs from the leadership.
A treacherous RINO is worth two Democrats in the amount of damage they can do to the conservative agenda. So it is actually better if a Democrat wins than an old, established and powerful RINO.
So finally, the GOP-e and conservatives agree on one thing.
This election, hopefully conservatives will abandon McConnell, Graham, Cochran, and Alexander; and we will be about halfway home to control over the Republican party.
Once that happens, it will finally be a fair political fight between conservatives and Democrats.
Its starting. Establishment directly going after Charles Johnson. Saying this is all a hoax to raise money for a mortgage. DESTROY THESE PEOPLE!!!!
Sadly I was talking to my kin in Mississippi last night, they vote pretty conservative, and they were calling McDaniel a sore loser and that Cochran was the right winner so just move on. I just shook my head while I listened.
The elites don’t care which partly wins as long as conservatives don’t.
“Is this over? I thought McDaniel’s people were investigating fraudulent votes and were planning a legal challenge.”
It’s not over, in addition to the illegal voters, and that number is rising there is an unusual anount of suspicious absentee votes to look into BUT as of last night there appears to be recorded proof of a democrat distributing envelopes containg $15 to democrats to vote for Cochran in the Mississippi Republican Primary Runoff apparently a member of Cochran’s campaign named BAIRD, who also happens to be on the staff of SENATOR ROGER WICKER and who was apparently on loan to the cochran campaign from senator wicker as were employees from the REPUBLICAN SENATORIAL CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE and it may have been from the 175 thousand dollars that the NRSC donated to Cochran that was used to buy the illegal votes was making the deals with the actual money distributors who were promised $16,000. The NRSC money was apparently “earmarked” for recruiting democrats including the racist, kkk robo-calls and flyers and possibly the cash payments. The penalties for this include forfeiture of office and 5 year prison sentences for those involved.
As was suggested to me, I took a look at your posting history. Seems that you are fine with the Cochran result. Let me challenge you to find an article and post a thread calling Mc Daniel a sore loser.
In fact, I dare you to. Make it a vanity, if you cannot find an article.
I said before that honest differences of opinion should be heard. However, being OK with criminal behavior is not.
They may change their mind when they find out what has happened, I know some cochran supporters saw and changed before the runoff and I know of some that now regret their Cochran vote as this unfolds. I believe senator wicker is going to regret his Cochran support by the time this is over.
For some time now, I have been donating only to candidates and not to the party and nopt to PAC’s.
It would be nice to have a second party of opposition for a change. We haven’t had one since 1988. How do you expect anything out of a national party when there is no difference between the two parties except the price tag?
Ask them if they have no problems with Democrats choosing the Republican nominee (and being paid to do just that).
