How well will a Massachusetts liberal fit in among Southern blue-collar Democrats? That question will be answered over the next couple of weeks, when Elizabeth Warren goes to West Virginia to stump for Natalie Tennant, who is seeking to replace retiring Sen. Jay Rockefeller in a hotly contested race in coal country against Republican Rep. Shelley Moore Capito.
On July 14, Warren will head to the Eastern Panhandle, as Tennant, who is currently secretary of state, rolls out her education plan. Warren also plans to appear in Kentucky later this month with Alison Lundergan Grimes, the Democratic nominee for Senate.
West Virginia has been trending red, breaking from its Democratic roots. In 2012 President Obama lost all 55 counties, the first time a Democratic presidential candidate was completely shut out in West Virginia. Capito is the heavy favorite to win, and if she does, it would be the first time since 1956 that the state has picked a Republican to fill a Senate seat.
For Warren, being in coal country is a test of whether she can boost the Democratic ticket and whether she can find an audience among the kind of Democrats that supported Bill and Hillary Clinton. In 2008, Clinton scored her biggest presidential primary win in West Virginia over then-Sen. Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton won Kentucky and West Virginia both times he ran for president. More recently, Bill Clinton stumped for Grimes, who is up against Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (R).

But coal will no doubt be the elephant in the room in West Virginia and Kentucky, given that Warren supports Obama’s move to curb carbon emissions.

Now that Obama has declared he intends to shut down the coal industry, why would anyone in coal-rich states like West Virginia and Kentucky ever vote for a Democrat again?
If Obama stated his intention to shut down the American automobile industry, would voters in Michigan still vote for Democrats? Would Texans vote for Democrats if Obama decided to destroy the oil industry?
And what will Elizabeth Warren do in West Virginia and Kentucky to help get out the women’s vote? Make speeches to coal miners’ daughters and wives urging them to vote for Democrats so their fathers and husbands can lose their jobs?
Think of the elections as a mirror reflecting the moral decay that this formerly great nation has started.
The voters are responsible for allowing politicians with deviant character to seize the reins of power.
The two social democrats that I know who think Warren is the second coming are both men.
One was a Hillary Supporter in 2008, but jumped on the Obama Bandwagon when O got the nod. They both voted for Obama, but now one thinks he is a War Criminal. The other one thinks O is great.
Warren is a hard-core Leninist.
Obama and Hillary both look ideologically weak compared to Warren.

So far only MA has fallen for her, & MA is a deep blue, flaky state. Other MA pols have tried & failed on the national stage. Warren may well be one of them.
She has a big kollege kid following. Mainly because she wants to lower loan payments, or eliminate them completely. Reddit.com loves her. Although I believe she pays kids to post good things about her, to get her name out there.
Democrats like dumb women. They have considered both Patty Murray and Mary Landrieu to be vice presidential material. The two of them together don’t have a triple digit IQ.

Granny Clampett was an unpretentious straight shooting purveyor of common sense. Not like Lizzie Warren at all.
