Israel will help Jordan defend themselves. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Egypt step up as well.

Then we’d be on both sides and like a double agent, get the benefits of info from what everyone knows and is thinking, and can double-cross at our own discretion.

Sounds just like Bammy and more of the MB in Egypt. Until the folks in-country get wind of it, as too few of us are at present. But that’s your future, Barry, just as it has been more recently for Morsi and crew in Egypt.

I’m no isolationist, as I really do think that we should be more involved, BUT I do find it interesting that in the ME and Ukraine we are sloooowly starting to see countries defend themselves and we are slowly starting see countries other than the US step up to help.

I think Israel should tell Jordan they will help if Jordan agrees to take back all the Jordanian “Palestinians” out of Israel.

Israel should trade the lives of the Jordanian “royal” family and Jordan’s security, for the removal of the Jordanian Wakf from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, and the destruction of the Al Asqa mosque. The dome can stay, although it won’t be visible once the Third Temple is built around and above it.

well we have a few stories where people say some things. Jordan and Saudi’s saying some things. In the meantime ISIS is taking over Syria and Iraq and there doesn’t appear to be anyone seriously trying to stop them. Obama seems OK to just let terrorists take over the middle east.

SUPPORT ASSAD AND ALLOW *HIM* TO CLEAR OUT THE TERRORISTS. I seem to recall he is considered to be the legitimate ruler of Syria by the United Nations. The idea that paying one group of stateless militants to take care of another group and at the same time engineer a regime change in Syria is ludicrous in the extreme!

Assad of Syria *is* making an effort - he’s even had permission to strike with aircraft against ISIS within Iraq. Yet, Obama and Kerry persist in the notion that Assad needs to be taken out. Why, really, why?

The ideal combination would be Kurdistan (independent nation, carved out of the Kurdish areas occupied by Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey), Israel, and Jordan (Jordan and Kurdistan could just close the gap between them).

I doubt that it will happen, because there’s no way for the racist Hashemite regime in Jordan to enter a public alliance with Israel, unless it lasted a matter of a day or so (like the Syrian invasion of Jordan the elder Assad carried out to support the PLO’s attempt to overthrow the late King Hussein); and because Jordan isn’t under any real external threat. If Jordan were under an external threat, it would come from Iran, or Assad.

Also, Erdogan has still not come around to the obvious idea that Kurdistan would make Turkey’s second greatest ally, well, greatest since Turkey has dumped Israel.

Jordan might ally with Assad, and the two of them gang up on both the AQ and ISIS, while dumping Zero, Lurch, Plugs and the rest. That would give Martin Indyk and Catherine Ashton something new to blame on Israel.

That’s because Obama is an enemy of the state (US). There are only two explanations IMO

1. Obama is a hopeless idealist and backs rebel uprisings against dictators (”the man”) and is just a dumn fool

2. Obama intentionally wants terrorists to control the middle east.

If I had to pick I would say it is #1. I don’t think Obama is serious or competent enough to get involved in #2. But regardless of WHY he is doing it he is an enemy of the state.

Hussein Al-Obama wants this as Israel bombing Muslims is the one thing that may spur wider uprisings and the creation of the caliphate.

Once Israel has permission to over fly Jordan, what’s to stop them from hitting Iran? The route and refueling WAS the problem.

Yes, that Golan Heights article was another indicator.

Just off the top of my head I can see several fighting factions.

Inner core: ISIS, al-Duri’s group, Peshmarga, Sadr and the Shia militia, Iraq army (such as it may be), Iranian Quds. Within that group will various tribes as well with shifing loyalties.

Outer core: Turkey, Syria, Israel, Jordan, S.A.

International Powers: US/nato and Russia

I’m certainly leaving someone out. My guess is still free for all.

I have a lot of sympathy for the Kurdish Peshmarga. They have been shafted so many times. Obviously a huge amount of respect for Israel. Too bad our genious president has managed to alienate both of them.
