Chris McDaniel, onthe blatantly unethical and illegal tactics employed by Thad Cochran and Haley Barbour in the Mississippi GOP runoff Tuesday
McDaniel: I am a two-term state senator, I have fought for this party my entire life, Ive given money Ive done everything theyve asked me to do and last night, they pulled over 35,000 Democrats into a Republican primary to defeat me we feel betrayed.
Hannity: Do you foresee any circumstance under which you would support this guy? Because I dont think I could do it.
McDaniel: I prayed about it last night my core principle is gonna have a hard time even looking at politics again.
Hannity: You sound like you got punched in the gut. You sound like youve been betrayed.
McDaniel: Sean, I was I have fought for these people. These are my colleagues. They are my friends I dont understand!
But Ted Cruz has bigger fish to fry
I certainly congratulate my colleague, Thad, Cruz said on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, pointing out that the Republican establishment poured millions into the Mississippi race and only won by a thin margin. Cruz reminded the hosts that he did not endorse a candidate in the Mississippi primary, as he promised to stay out of incumbent Senate races.
As does Rand
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a potential 2016 presidential contender, declined to support tea party critics of Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochrans efforts to mobilize non-GOP voters to win the Republican nomination.
Im for more people voting, not less people voting, Paul told reporters Wednesday.
McDaniel: Sean, I was I have fought for these people. These are my colleagues. They are my friends I dont understand!
ugh! Yeah we know, Rand, we know.
Good for Hannity. Sometimes he seems like he sucks up too much to the GOPe, so kudos to him for not doing that in this race.
Welcome to the real GOPe.
Rand is becoming a pathetic little caricature of himself .
If they have a “wimpish statements” Hall of Fame, then this one by Rand Paul should get a nomination with a bullet
Looks like Senator Paul is fitting in to the Washington establishment nicely.
I’ll never send another dime to the GOP ever again. They can go ask their new Democrat voters they discovered in Mississippi for money.
This “victory” will go down as one of the biggest political mistakes ever made Haley Barbour will go down in infamy over this manure.
How could the party hijacked by the Rat Romney
to impose what he did, to attack whom he did,
to steal the funds he did, be anything else?
Every single day Rand Paul says something that confirms that he is either insane, a complete idiot, or a turncoat.
Perhaps all three.
McDaniel sounds like he has a good heart. Hope he keeps on fighting.
I’m for less people voting.
You must be a net tax payer in order to vote.
Everybody votes in Venezuela too.
Not working out too well for them either.
There is something in his eyes, in his pause and staccato speech pattern that says insane....fanatical, maybe, about something.
Exactly. I think 100% vote in North Korea.
There is one particular Bible verse that comes to mind as I ponder what happened in MS.
Mark 8:36:
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”
The tactics used in this race that have come to light are completely unacceptable to use within the GOP. I could not vote for Thad Cochran if I were in Mississippi. If he won fair and square it would have been a disappointment that McDaniel didn’t win, but the tactics used to scare Democrats to the polls using the race baiting, etc. that McDaniel wanted to take all of their rights away, etc. is beyond outrageous. If a write-in campaign can be waged it should be done, highlighting the outrageous tactics used by Cochran in the primary - a substantial number of Republicans still voted for him and doubtful most of them would have had they been aware of the tactics his campaign was using to drive liberal Democrats to the polls.
Hope he does it from a different party.
If he were a democrat, at least they couldn't use democrat voters against him.
But I'm thinking something entirely different. The whole lot of 'em are the reek of week dead fish on the beach.
