A SWAT team blew a hole in my 2-year-old son

After our house burned down in Wisconsin a few months ago, my husband and I packed our four young kids and all our belongings into a gold minivan and drove to my sister-in-law’s place, just outside of Atlanta. On the back windshield, we pasted six stick figures: a dad, a mom, three young girls, and one baby boy.

That minivan was sitting in the front driveway of my sister-in-law’s place the night a SWAT team broke in, looking for a small amount of drugs they thought my husband’s nephew had. Some of my kids’ toys were in the front yard, but the officers claimed they had no way of knowing children might be present. Our whole family was sleeping in the same room, one bed for us, one for the girls, and a crib.

After the SWAT team broke down the door, they threw a flashbang grenade inside. It landed in my son’s crib.

Flashbang grenades were created for soldiers to use during battle. When they explode, the noise is so loud and the flash is so bright that anyone close by is temporarily blinded and deafened. It’s been three weeks since the flashbang exploded next to my sleeping baby, and he’s still covered in burns.

There’s still a hole in his chest that exposes his ribs.

Almost weekly there is a report of some armed attack by SWAT units somewhere that reads more like a report of confessional rural violence by some group like the Whiteboys or Ribbonmen in Ireland two hundred years ago than events in some suburban area in the US. Then when there is an event such as the mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard where SWAT response is needed we see pictures of SWAT teams from a half dozen police agencies milling about the building where the shooter is at work until the shooting is over and only then will these Darth Vader like uniformed forces enter the building to tally up the casualties. We are told this is due to concern over ‘officer safety’. Pardon me? These heavily armed paramilitary gendarmes are supposed to be the ones who go in harms way. Instead they act like the SA on Crystal Night towards generally unarmed and unresisting citizens and cower like cowards before armed and crazed shooters. This is the essence of Anarcho-Tyranny.

There is nothing conservative about thinking its okay for kids to be on crack either. Conservatives can oppose these para-military tactics without being pro-drugs.

The reality of what happened is that the new Habersham County Sheriff was not in charge of this incident. The County Prosecutor has managed to somehow commandeer 6 of the sheriff’s deputies under his authority and has organized a drug task force that he totally controls.

Cornelia, GA is a little burg up in the foothills of the N GA mountains. If you blink you miss it. They have zero need for any type of a SWAT team certainly not under the command of the County Prosecutor. Its insane and it needs to be stopped ASAP. The lawsuit that is coming on this will hopefully bankrupt Habersham County.

The new Sheriff should never have tolerated any of his personnel being under the command of anybody else except him. He needs to go and so does that Prosecutor.

A 7-year-old Basalt girl accidentally ingested candy that was infused with edible marijuana Sunday and was taken to Valley View Hospital for treatment, according to police.

Tell me, if the government is so concerned with drugs and the safety of the American people, why have they for 30+ years, aided and abetted Mexico and kept the lawless borders unsecured where thousands of tons of drugs enter annually, unabated?

Our government, the Mexican govenrment and the cartels are making hundreds of billions off this epic con-job annually.

So much so people/officials from top to bottom, who are supposed to be in charge of border security and law enforcement, are bribed and bought off to make damn sure those borders remain lawless, and wide open for business.

The house where the raid was conducted looks like any suburban home.

If you notice these raids, they tend to be outside the areas where drug sales are frequent and chronic. Why is that?

I'll tell you. Raiding a house in the "inner city" is dangerous. I don't care HOW many SWAT people you have, or how many full auto weapons they bring, raiding a crack house in Detroit or Chicago will have Bloods and Crips opening fire on your team from every window up and down the block. Your SWAT armor won't mean diddly as they toss Molotov cocktails on your head. If you return fire, you will ignite a riot which will have half the city in flames by nightfall, and everybody from Al Shapton to Obama will be after the heads of everyone involved.

It's much safer to exercise your SWAT gear in the suburbs, against a white family that nobody will riot over.

And as a bonus, if you do find some drugs, you can confiscate the house under Civil Asset Forfeiture laws.

Now tell me, which is more profitable to law enforcement, seizing a crack house in the badlands of Detroit, or the nice home pictured above?

And if anything goes wrong, it's just a bunch of white people. Nobody's going to riot and burn the city over this little kid:

Libertarians HATE traditional conservatives with a passion that would make Democrats blush! They hate Christians more than any homosexual activist. This is their real viewpoint.
