Do you think the Republicans just lost retaking the Senate due to the Thad Cochran campaign's smear tactics?
Yes or No..opinions.
Do the idiot GOP elite think the people are going to forget that they used Democrats to defeat them? And then come vote for Cochran? (who they didn’t want)
Or that the democrats that helped Cochran win are going to vote for him again in the main elections?
I don’t think they lost it, but they definitely lost the support of a large portion of their base.
If they do lose it this is a big reason why. This will reverberate beyond MS.
No, the seat can be lost and still win the Senate.

Looks like I’ll just leave the sinatorial bit blank IF I spend $4 gas to drive to the polls.
Hope all those new GOP supporters return to vote for Thad in November. I won’t be voting for him regardless.
A Republican Senate will not change anything in the next two years.
Especially the Republican Senate we're likely to get.
Let the Black Democrats and union hacks vote Cochran in in Nov. No conservative McDaniel voters should vote for the Democrat choice, Cochran. Write in the real GOP choice, McDaniel.
The republicans that wring their hands over possible losing a seat never say one word about Richard Lugar endorsing the democrat in Georgia this year or John Warner endorsing the democrat in Virginia.
Since they really don’t care if they regain the senate, neither do I. They just want power
Just maybe we would be able to elect enough conservatives via a third party to hold the balance of power in both houses. We wouldn't need a majority, just enough senators and members of congress to prevent either of the other two parties from having one.
It makes sense to have a liberal Republican candidate in a state like Oregon. A RINO is better than a Marxist, which is what the Democrats offer.
It makes NO sense to me why the GOP in a red state would push a RINO rather than a fiscal conservative.
I am stunned by this Cochran mess.
Did Cochran’s campaign put that out?

Cite the law.
Yes. Well I hope they did for one reason and one reason only ... and that is that we as the Tea Party will simply stop voting for the GOPe. this was a huge slap in our collective faces. If we do not at least keep Thad out of the Senate, the GOPe will realize we have no real power except in the occasional Congressional District.
Montana like Mississippi is heavily dependent on Federal dollars coming into the state. For a candidate of either party to win here they must reassure the voters that he will do everything he can to keep those federal dollars keep flowing into the state.
See my post 52.
Not the point, this has demoralized conservatives across the country. It's killed my enthusiasm and I don't live in MS.
The sad part is, they don't care. I should have picked up on this a long time ago when Mitch & friends were talking about "crushing" the Tea Party. They honestly don't care if they don't get a majority.
It's all about them and their power. Whether minority or majority, the don't care.
What I do think we can still do is get the word out to NOT contribute one dollar to those pigs. If we like a candidate, we can contribute to that person directly. Get the word out, to fund the GOP is to fund the Democrats.
Darn it! Politics is about quorums and who lines up in the Republican Caucus and who lines up in the Democrat caucus. W’e’re always going to have “moderates” like Snow, etc. When it comes to a Supreme Court nominee choice the only way we’are going to get a strict constructionist in is to have a majority in the Senate as well as the White House. The enemy of an arch conservative is not a regular conservative! I want all the Ted Cruz’s we can get, but it’s not possible. The first step is to get rid of all God-hating, deviant-loving, welfare-spending Rats!
Good luck proving that...
Right idea. Write in worked for the GOPe in Alaska two years ago.
