House Majority Leader-elect Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) blamed crossover votes by Democrats for Eric Cantors (R-VA) surprise primary defeat at the hands of David Brat in an interview on Sean Hannitys radio show on Monday. He stated that was surprised by Cantors defeat, and did say that all politics are local when asked why he thought Cantor lost.
McCarthy added that he had read five different analyses and one theory he came across was Democrats voted 30 percent in [that race].

“It was the Strawberries!”
More RINO delusion.
Another “national Republican” as clueless as Cantor was.
He’s right. The RINOs never should have bought that “rebrand” crap that their commie ‘RAT pals were spewing at them after the 2012 “elections”. It was a setup and the GOP fell for it.
I suspect Mr. McCarthy immediately discarded the immigration issue as being paramount in Cantor’s defeat, even though Brat beat Cantor over the head with that continually.
McCarthy, Ryan, et al. are in deep denial.
Did he say that’s how Lindsey Graham we nominated again? Did he talk about the demos getting out for Thud Cochran?
Got TEA, Kevin?
McCarthy is an ass.
David Brat’s career will be something to watch.
I will no longer vote for any GOPe candidates as the lesser of two evils.
Because, honestly, GOPe candidates are just as much, or perhaps moreso, the greater evil.
This guy is better than i thought! He’s a f**king Jedi! He blames the RATS for Cantors loss, all the while Cochran is hoping the RAT voters save his a$$. SO WHEN HE GETS DESTROYED TOMORROW in the polls by McDaniel he can blame the same RATS! YES.HE.CAN! /s
Whatever it took...
I live in the 7th district. cantor did not lose because of democrats.
well this explains why Cockran is so desperate to get the rat vote out tomorrow.....
they say that, but never provide any proof...
The Democrats don’t have a monopoly on delusion and self-delusion.
Dream on, Kevin .... ignore what REALLY happened at your peril.
I don't know if this was ever true but it's certainly not true now. I do hope that someone fixes the potholes, but I don't complain much about such things because I'm not that involved with local-yokel politics. Compare voter turnout for local elections vs. presidential elections to know that most people agree with me.
