Tim Walberg is my congressman. He’s not perfect but he’s very solid on social issues and the elimination of the regulatory state.
Seems like the RATS are making this a hearing about the Bush administration.
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) said Tuesday that IRS Commissioner John Koskinen has done “a terrible job communicating” in the investigation into former IRS official Lois Lerner’s missing emails.
Last night someone asked Koskinen if the targeting of groups would have happened if there was a flat tax. He replied no and that he supported such a change in tax structure.
Never pass up on an opportunity to release another squirrel.

My take is that he was just being very careful with what he could testify to within his actual knowledge. The important point was made - the law related to preservation of records WAS most likely broken.
The term was “universal subpoena”

On time my ash but 0 is probably smart enough to keep his signature and footprints out of the arena by letting handlers like Jarrett handle things for him. Plausible deniability 101. Probably briefed in private only by trusted associates mono e mono at a hidden or removed location which could be within the WH itself.
I’ve worked with several federal agencies. These people are full of crap. When they found that her disk had “crashed” they had near time copies on media. They could have restored the data easily. Or, if there was a problem they could have simply copied the tape and set it aside.
What is interesting is that several people connected to Lerner had their hard drives “crash”. If that happened about the same time then given simple math no conclusion can be other than someone intentionally tampered with evidence.
An administration with regard to the rule of law would call for a special prosecutor. The punk won’t do that though.
The Republicants are not trying to cope, they are enabling.
