The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) cancelled its longtime relationship with an email-storage contractor just weeks after ex-IRS official Lois Lerner’s computer crashed and shortly before other IRS officials’ computers allegedly crashed.
The IRS signed a contract with Sonasoft, an email-archiving company based in San Jose, California, each year from 2005 to 2010. The company, which partners with Microsoft and counts The New York Times among its clients, claims in its company slogans that it provides “Email Archiving Done Right” and “Point-Click Recovery.” Sonasoft in 2009 tweeted, “If the IRS uses Sonasoft products to backup their servers why wouldn’t you choose them to protect your severs?

As a federal employee I know for a fact that there are digital copies on an email server somewhere. Emails go from the computer, to the email server, then to the recipient. That email server keeps copies of them. Somewhere there are copies of those emails, and Obama and his cronies are stalling until they are all destroyed.
Ding, dang, gosh darn it.
Help me understand something....If the IRS backed up files even for just 6 months, how is it that the files on her hard drive were not recoverable from the backup and then able to be placed on her new hard drive? Isn’t that the purpose of a back up? Or did she wait 7 months after her hard drive crashed to report it?
OK - Enough. It’s time for the American people to not pay taxes until: Lois Lerner produces the emails or she goes to trial for destroying evidence.

IF YOU PAY SOMEONE TO BACK UP YOUR DOCUMENTS WITH A CONTRACT, THEN THE OBLIGATION IS THEIRS IF THE CONTRACTS READ THUS....WHICH WOULD MAKE SENSE.

That it's a conspiracy is now beyond question.
Forget impeachment for now. The potential undiscovered evidence will be unassailable. Civil and criminal RICO charges will be the first step in cleaning the stables.
Resigning is increasingly becoming a futile alternative.
And as for "pardoning" himself and the thousands of co-conspirators, it must be made clear, now, that is not a viable option.
The most remarkable part of this sordid mess is that out of so many co-conspirators, not a single honest citizen, the key whistleblower, has emerged.
Speaking for myself, there is no backlash big enough, or nasty enough not to accept as the price of keeping our Freedom, our country and our history.
The remedy must be ruthless total and swift.

INTRODUCTION
Section 1503 of the federal obstruction of justice statute 1 is one of the most powerful tools available to a prosecutor. 2 In the past, it has been used to punish an extremely wide range of behavior, including witness tampering, bribery of court personnel, perjury, document destruction, and attempts to mislead the government.
Yet despite the broad range of acts that fall within its bounds, a critical element of the offense of "obstruction of justice" remains obscured by Congressional silence and confused by judicial interpretation. Although one might presume the crime to require a purposeful frame of mind, the mens rea 4 requirement has never been clearly articulated. 5 This ambiguity has lead to a deepening rift between the circuits on the proper mens rea requirement for criminal obstruction of justice.
This Note argues that the mens rea requirement articulated by the Fourth Circuit in United States v. Neiswender, 6 and adopted by the Second, Fifth, Seventh, and Eleventh Circuits, is inconsistent with § 1503's legislative history, the Supreme Court's decision in Pettibone v. United States, 7 and the mens rea requirements in analogous areas of law. Furthermore, this Note argues that the Neiswender doctrine, if carried to its logical extreme, could permit criminal prosecution of conduct which amounts to little more than negligence.

"Servers" are just sets of hard drives, physically and electronically connected and "stacked" as an array.
The only exception are tape backups, still a most efficient and reliable form of backups, but nevertheless also vulnerable to funny business by dedicated criminals.
Wish I knew how to do photoshop, to make that image complete by putting prison bars in the foreground.
I can't think of an appropriate sentence for his actions/attitude, short of hanging.
