Investigation of IRS Targeting
Commissioner John Koskinen testified at a House Ways and Means Committee hearing on the investigation of the IRS' criteria to process applications of tax-exempt organizations.
Administrative types LIVE by their email. No way she lost all her email and didn’t have a screaming conniption hissy fit over it.

Did he say Windows 10?
LOL yes he did.
I agree cripplecreek. The emails exist in 3 places. The user’s hard drives/computers, the servers, and the backup tapes. If someone destroys the user’s computers and the backup tapes, the emails still exist on the servers, unless someone knowingly deletes them, in which case there would be a record of who deleted them. No one is talking about this.
The next Doctor Who....
The NSA’s James R. Clapper looked right into the camera and lied about surveillance of American citizens.
Why? For the same reason an unblinking Bill Clinton lied about “sex with ... that woman”:
Because he thought he could.
He didn’t know he would be tripped-up by the truth.
IRS? Same-same.
We’re just waiting for the other shoe to fall, then every falsehood Obama created will begin to unravel.
The question is how hard are the Republicans going to go after anyone who is trying to suppress the Tea Party?
Democrat is now attempting to justify denying tax exemption.
I love the excuse that there was is no evidence of Lois sabotaging her hard drive because she “tried as hard as she could” to recover, in anyway possible the data on her blown hard drive. So there would be absolutely no reason for her to ever intentionally destroy her data.
What doesn’t a Republican ask the lizard why did Lerner and Flack discuss prosecution of the Tea Party groups by the Justice Department? That is clearly illegal activity.
I’m no IT expert but I agree, can someone please ask about the servers?? Forget the hard drive..with all the cloud tech, those emails are there. I’m sick of Gollum’s smugness, what a weasel.
Good point.
Thousands of hard drive crashes at the IRS! Thousands, I say. THOUSANDS of hard drive crashes!!!!
OH, the huge manatee!
They are archived offsite in case DC is wiped out by some catastrophe, man-made or not.
Rep Black was good..had him nervous..she asked if taxpayer info has ever been lost, he said no because they’re kept in a seperate file/server.
I’d like them to ask what brand of hard drives these were. Then subpoena a rep from the maker and press them about why they are marketing such crappy drives. When the maker(s) see their brand image under fire they might be induced to publicly state the incredibly astronomical odds that these particular drives would crash.
I also agree that the questioners ought to highlight the path that emails follow between sender and recipient and the multiple instances of backups that exist along that path.
Lerner destroyed them and then wanted to confirm with IT that they could not be retrieved. The crash occurred a week after the IRS was alerted by the committee that they were wanted information on the targeting of conservative groups.
Since we all know now that the NSA is recording ALL E-mails and their sometimes included privately owned attachments why cannot congress subpoena those records?
