HOUSTON, TexasSenator Ted Cruz (R-TX) sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson to secure the border and put an end to the "humanitarian crisis."
Cruzs letter to Johnson comes less than twenty-four hours after the top three Texas lawmakers sent a letter to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Director, Colonel Steve McCraw. The letter directed McCraw to conduct an immediate surge of Texas law enforcement resources along the border.
The outcry over the crisis has continued to build steam since Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby released over 40 leaked internal government photographs that depicting not only the extent of the illegal immigration crisis, but also the condition in which many of the minors were being held in.
In his letter to Secretary Johnson, Cruz spelled out the conditions facing law enforcement and unaccompanied children who are entering the United States illegally. Each day, hundreds of unaccompanied children enter the United States after being handed to dangerous human smugglers, Cruz began. Along the way, those children are sometimes abused, sometimes sold into prostitution, sometimes recruited by drug cartels, and sometimes even killed.
Those who make it are now being housed in United States military installations in Texas, California, and Oklahoma.

He IS a lawyer, one of the 100 best in the world from the sound of it.
Cruz and Perry better wake up and realize Barry is trying to destroy Texas. Alamo 2.0 and both of them are getting beat up .
Notice how a week later only a couple Republicans even mention this? Common sense says they would be all over this. but they arent. they ignore it fully, delay and stall if they must. And JonBon wants amnesty. Barry wants Amnesty and engineered this.
There most be some connection...but what? /s
Hey, Ted—BathHouseBarry’s been planning this for QUITE some time...
Barack Obama planned for the illegal immigration of young and handicapped children unaccompanied in JANUARY.
Notice how a week later only a couple Republicans even mention this? Common sense says they would be all over this. but they arent.
Follow the (hush/amnesty) $$.
With this bunch? Writing a letter to them isn’t exactly what I imagined of when I read “TED CRUZ TAKES BOLD STAND ON BORDER CRISIS, DEMANDS ACTION”.
It wasn’t like his name has some magical weight that was going to shake Obama’s goons into changing their minds.
Also notice how many threads are polluted with open Romney supporters and pro amnesty types in the last couple weeks?
Suddenly they came out of the walls as if called somehow.
And that doesn’t even count the anti fencers who seem to think that Ted speaking up is somehow bad.
In the meantime our other (R) Senator, John Cornball, has come out voicing total support for Democrat Julian Castro, LaRaza activist and brother of San Antonio’s Mayor, as BO’s new head of HUD.
Can't our Congress critters call for a BOYCOTT OF MEXICO, at a minimum?
Oops sorry, excuse the wrong info:
Palin isn’t meeting tomorrow, it’s next Friday:

This is Ovomits way of turning Texas blue.
How is it different from Perry?
How is it different from Obama?
How is it different from Graham?
How is it different from Hillary?
How is it different from Cantor?
I don’t know the answer to any of these questions.
How is Cruz going to run for president if he has a nasal voice?
That is a deal stopper, or so we are told and reinforcedly so, to day, here on this forum.
How will ted Cruz succeed if he cannot win over Jay Leno, or the 47% Romney dared to write off.
Republicans like Ted Cruz need to garner 100% support from all of the population, legal, illegal, dead, alive, democrat, communist, Obama supporting...
How can he not know he has to be perfect like a god or like God in order to even do his job as senator from Texas, if anyone is talking about his running for the presidency?:?
What, Breitbart, is “bold” about a letter weeks/months after the crisis supposedly began? he may be a learned man, and right politically, but is he bold?
...as a republican?
cancelling NAFTA would be a good start too or Declaring them a Hostile Nation.
What took him so long. . .the real damage has been done. Start stocking up on silver sol, coconut oil and diatomaceous earth.
Texas should use this to to put and keep additional assets on the border with he sole intent of pushback on the border bunnies.
With crap like this coming from DC

It is time for Texas to Just say NO.
If little bammy wants to try and stop it, let him deploy Federal troops onto the border to run off the Texas troops deployed on the border so HIS deployed Federal troops on the border can assure safe passage for the criminal illegal alien border and immigration law violators.
In front of every TV camera in the State of Texas.

” - - - How is it different from - - - “
This is different because:
* The GOP-E and the Obama Democrats both strongly oppose the State of TEXAS protecting itself from the Illegal Alien Invader “children” and adults from Mexico.
* This is THE Litmus Test as to who will stand with the do-nothing GOP-E, and those who oppose the do-nothing GOP-E of Speaker Boehner.
* We, the People have been heard by major State and Federal Republican Politicians where they have put into action a funded action to protect us from Public Enemy Number One, namely the US Federal Government’s Administration Departments including the DOJ, INS, ATF, FBI and the White House resident, herself.
Oh.
I was responding to Mylife’s disparaging, discouraging, comment:
“Love Ted Cruz but how is this really different than Perry?”
