HOUSTON, TexasSenator Ted Cruz (R-TX) sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson to secure the border and put an end to the "humanitarian crisis."
Cruzs letter to Johnson comes less than twenty-four hours after the top three Texas lawmakers sent a letter to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Director, Colonel Steve McCraw. The letter directed McCraw to conduct an immediate surge of Texas law enforcement resources along the border.
The outcry over the crisis has continued to build steam since Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby released over 40 leaked internal government photographs that depicting not only the extent of the illegal immigration crisis, but also the condition in which many of the minors were being held in.
In his letter to Secretary Johnson, Cruz spelled out the conditions facing law enforcement and unaccompanied children who are entering the United States illegally. Each day, hundreds of unaccompanied children enter the United States after being handed to dangerous human smugglers, Cruz began. Along the way, those children are sometimes abused, sometimes sold into prostitution, sometimes recruited by drug cartels, and sometimes even killed.
Those who make it are now being housed in United States military installations in Texas, California, and Oklahoma.

Love Ted Cruz but how is this really different than Perry?
In before the - "it's not enough" crowd.
I am 100% behind Cruz on this, I hope Palin speaks up on this matter tomorrow.
Heck I hope they both bolt the GOP and start a rival party, but I would take her making a stand on this.
POW!
Missed it by that much....darn tablet.
Lol...see my post #7 ;-)

And this is supposed to do what exactly?
Place emergency assistance calls to the Military.

Come on, its time to get this rolling. Lawyers send letters... its time for action.
I definitely have trepidation about this one..
Don’t be so eager Ted
Not at all.
I just hope Palin speaks up on the matter tomorrow.
I believe I saw another tread on some get together, somewhere.
Both of these guys (using the term loosely) are completely on the money, and we really need them both to speak up loudly.
I’m just supporting her is all.
(and Ted Cruz)
They’re both so refreshing.
She’s been speaking on this issue since before we’d heard of her.
Yes. Lets give Barry more time to spread them across America so that people can cry how expensive it will be to then find them...
Well, it’s much more than my RINO Congressman is doing.
Nothing but namby pamby “we don’t have a statement on this, yet”, from his office.
I support Palin 110%.
I am all in. Maybe I wasn’t clear in my original comment.
Entirely supportive here.
