BREAKING. President in the briefing room around 12:30P ET for statement on Iraq.
Steve Brusk, CNN: The president's meeting with the national security team will be in the WH Situation Room beginning in about ten minutes
Attempting to appear presidential, due to falling poll numbers?
Some of his previous Breaking News statements on issues have been more lackluster than substantive.
It took 240,000 troops and all the weaponry, to go in and subdue Hussein, and keep him in for balance and stability.
THen it took another major action to go in and do the same and GET Hussein.
And it took into the next administration
The public is liberal when it comes to war, and the republicans are like liberals, in the way that they believe the press, and they won’t explain what’s going on.
The troops trust their leaders, who are told by the Congress or the executive order, all put into place by the voters, or the lack of pushback by the opposition, where they are going and what they are doing.
(that’s why we don’t hear a lot from the troops- they do their job and it’s the public who are actually responsible for wimping out and demanding that the congress and the president be anti war)
Now the entire region has been taken over and the public is going to let Obama still be in charge of this, to send a seal team in there.
To do what?
The only difference would be not being able to find the bathroom. I already want to puke and I haven’t had the first drink.
Somehow having him meet with Susan Rice, Joe Biden and Eric Holder doesn't inspire much confidence. Maybe they will produce a video that will show him having Beers with Islamic Extremists and they'll put down their weapons.
More soldiers going into iraq....how many is that now in the last few days....
AP: U.S. official says President will announce deployment of 100 special operations personnel to Iraq to advise & train country’s forces
He’d better tune in to CNN first to find out what’s happening.

Obama , I can’t make a decision today ,I need more time to digest this and it’s taking my scandals off the news so I’ll drag it out some more
Not as effective as doing nothing, but it will have to do.
He will be drawing red lines in the sand.
He has a phone. And he has a pen. And he has a bucket of red paint. And he has a paint brush and wide roller.
100? That's not enough to train their bus drivers, much less an entire army.
Supposedly Maliki doesnt play well with the opposition, maybe even ignores the Iraq constitution.
Hmmmmm - - - -?
The same thing has been proven to be true about Obama and the US Constitution.
Maliki is a Muslim, and so is Taliban-friendly Obama.
Must be a Muslim thing:
* Do not play well with others.
* Always ignore all Non-Muslim Laws.
* Always behave in the most arrogant manner possible.
Really?
Instead of boarding AF1 to fundraise or play golf?
Amazing that he is taking time out of his busy schdule to do his job.
I figure he seems to be sending so many back every day so that no one notices the numbers.
Problem/situation/crisis >> Obama speechifies >> Obama considers problem/situation/crisis addressed >> T-time
Nope, it’s still a toss up between, That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isnt. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear. or Islam has always been part of America. Still waiting for his “inshallah” bit.
WINNER of the Understatement of the Year award.

You're not alone in the 'no confidence' assessment ....
NBC/WSJ poll finds 54% have no confidence in Obamas leadership
