No wonder the left is loving up on him.
An Army veteran who served alongside Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in Afghanistan said Wednesday that the long-captive soldier was deeply frustrated with the mission and had lodged false allegations that their unit had carried out atrocities.

Cue that 1971 video
No wonder his brothers in arms don’t like him.
Bergdahl ping.
Read the comments at the Post and you’ll lose all hope for our nation.
THAT was my first thought too.
well maybe he got his wish with the Tolly bon
That’s what I was thinking. Is he planning to run for congress from Massachusetts?
This testimony doesn’t make sense, but maybe I am missing something.
First they said he was a sensitive and fragile poet/artist. Now he's bloodthirsty.
I’m confused. I thought Bowe was the fish out of water, having been raised as a pacifist. I thought he marched off into the Afghan night looking to hold hands and sip tea with his new Taliban Pals. I’m starting to think we will never know the real story.
Oh, man! Hang him twice!!!
Perfect running mate with Elizabeth Warren.
Warren — Bergdhal 2016!
Was Bergdahl one man for his fellow Soldiers and the opposite man for his father?
I didn’t see any mention of the allegations of war crimes in the article. Well-written stuff, as usual, WaPo.
People, people, don’t worry about it. Hollywood is making sure the “real” story is told. Now don’t you feel better?
If that’s the case, then Democrats would call him Presidential material.
I read the comments after the article and I am just stunned. My understanding is that a whole platoon was up on this outpost. In the Marine Corps that is 39 men plus a few more like Platoon Cmdr, corpsman and some others. If the Army is structured similar to the Marine Corps we can assume that there were 40 some guys at this outpost. Not one of these guys has come out in defense of Bergdahl.
America has seen too many war movies. The ones were some atrocity happens and the tough guy platoon sergeant bullies everyone into covering it up. Non military types need to use a little common sense here. Does anyone really think that if there was some war crime committed (as is insinuated in the article) that Bergdahl would be the only one to feel bad about it and speak out? Military people are just people, not a bunch of blood thirsty killers out to do criminal actions on the poor unsuspecting civilian population. Not one member of his platoon has come forward to defend him. They are all in unison. That is pretty damning evidence. No, the only crime that was committed here was desertion.
