Well, duh Frank. Then how about letting priests marry so they can have children instead of pets?

Have children? In modern America?

Little tough for young people to even think about having kids when....
They are loaded up the kazoo with student loan debt.
Living at home with their parents.
Cannot find full time well paying jobs.
To: Kaslin
Like I've said, Francis is in a state of dementia. I don't remember any of this in the bible???
I mean I know folks had sheeps for pets which were miraculously turned into stew.

... most people in welfare states no longer need children to care for them in old age because the state will do that. Good luck with that if you're under 60 now. You might wish you'd decided to take a chance on having children who love you even when you're old.

Pets can’t replace children? Tell that to our Chihuahua Coco the Imperial Princess. :-)

The pope criticized "these marriages, in which the spouses do not want children, in which the spouses want to remain without fertility. This culture of well-being ... convinced us: It's better not to have children! It's better! You can go explore the world, go on holiday, you can have a villa in the countryside; you can be carefree. It might be better -- more comfortable -- to have a dog, two cats, and the love goes to the two cats and the dog." Curious ! He seems to be in that class of people.
The utter hypocrisy.

And made up theology cannot replace the Ten Commandments, as this Pope routinely violates the Eighth, Ninth and Tenth.

More than ever before, young men and women in most affluent Western countries (and Russia) have decided not to have children. Meanwhile, Muslims are breeding like rabbits in those same countries.
To: Dr. Thorne
Perhaps you do not understand the liberty a man or woman has, to choose celibacy.
"Letting priests marry?" Nobody forces a man to choose the celibate priesthood, and whoever wants to leave it can do so. It's not a matter of "let."

Right, Sacajaweau. I guess Dennis Prager must be in a state of dementia, too, since he is actually demented enough to provide evidence that this is happening, a reasoned analysis on where this is leading demographically, and to imagine that evidence and reason would make a difference.
Weird.

God told us to Go Be Fruitful & Multiply! He means pastors and priests too! The Pope doesn’t have children, so he should close his big pie hole.

Uri' --- the Pope is a consecrated celibate, a class of people commended by Our Lord and by St. Paul as being single "for the Kingdom."
This is different from being either a self-serving unnatural-sex MSM "couple" or an intentionally-sterile self-serving contracepting "couple."
Denying the difference between intentionally-sterile actively sexual couples, an a person single for the Lord in imitation of the Lord, strikes me as being rather unreflective.

Pope Francis: Pets Can't Replace Children I guess the Pope has never been to Miami Beach or the swanky parts of NY City.

Bearing false witness, coveting others’ goods, and coveting others’ spouses? You’ll have to supply a quote.

My cat is smarter than any democrat! By far Her litter box is smarter than Obama, and smells nicer too. Have you ever been near him or Harry Reid? Those two need baths
